It was still good though. Possibly the closest to a real NBA team they'll get in the SL.

people saying Yes to Francis have really no idea how much of a cancer he is. Morey and Adelman wouldve signed him or even hinted at getting Francis by now if they wanted him, which they thankfully and intelligently don't.

sad to see ron lewis have a bad game, I think he could be a decent player if he gets on a team and gets play time. Aaron Brooks though = WOW

He had 14 and 4 in the first game and made a lot of hustle plays. After that game, everybody said that he could score but couldn't rebound. Then in tonight's game he only takes 3 shot, makes two of them and people say he can't score. He did pick up 7 rebs by the way. He didn't even really have the ball that much.

    -He's not small, he's 6'9.
-I'll have to agree, he is somewhat short-armed.
-And what have you seen in this league that would make you think he's slow-footed?

Give the guy a little more credit than that- he's better than barely high school. He was a unanimous all big east first team in 2005, so he's got some skills. He just needs to rediscover them.

About Francis, he is really injury prone nowadays.

About Novak, the guy had an entire year to gain some muscle and he didn't. He had an entire year to gain some defense and he didn't. The guy needs to be cut, giving us a roster spot we can fill with someone much more useful.

One of my son's favorite players. Before the first summer league game, he asked me where Ron Lewis was and I didn't know. We were both pleasantly surprised he was in the starting lineup. I think he has potential to make it in the NBA but not this season. His jumpshot needs to be more reliable. On the defensive end, Lewis looks very good right now.

People just don't know him yet. If he can score 18 pts and 10 rebounds against the Florida Gators with Horford, Noah, and Corey Brewer, he can score and rebound in the NBA.

he really only has 1 skill...shooting. "skills" is something he's yet to fully develop

The guy you are refering to is Berara. He was introduced as a summer league MVP candidate because he has been lighting everyone up. He managed to get by Brooks a total of twice the whole game. Brooks basically shut the guy down. Brooks D looked awesome last night...especially when he managed to out jump Brandon Brass and block the guys dunk attempt....with his elbow!

Brooks dominated Berara last night. Yes Berara scored 2 points (at the end of the game) while Brooks was guarding him last night. But the rest of Berara's success came at the expense of the Rockets back up scrub point guard.

true, but those 2 points were at a crucial time. a great game with one crucial mistake in crunch time can be costly. Its like saying its ok that tmac sucked the last 5 minutes of game...wait, he kind of stunk all game :(

im not harping on the guy, it was just something that i noticed.
