I was joking with a friend about this a couple of years ago and asked where all these Aidans, Jadens, and Jalens started coming from. There was a WSJ article about it a few years ago. The name "Jalen" existed before Jalen Rose, but like others said, it was his naming and the Fab Five that made it popular. Reminds me of an article I read about a 2 year spike in the name Shaq/Shaquille…I think by 1996 it became obsolete again.
