Suggs is like Dennis Johnson. Good college player that entered the league with
the Supersonics and was so-so, then joined a good Celtics team and looked great
    again.

Suggs/Dennis Johnson look great with good players around them; but so-so without
good players around them. Chosing Suggs over Green is like chosing plain vanilla
ice cream over a hot fudge sundae.

A potential prime PJ Tucker in the late first round is a good pick and a good rotation piece for a potential future contending level team.

The media or anyone who actually analyzes talent and knows Green has a significantly higher ceiling than Suggs?

What happened 19 years ago that caused everyone to be named Jalen?

How many teams has Chris Paul played for in his career so far?

Arguably the best pure point guard in generations, and he has played for... hmm... now on his fifth team, is it?

The point is, even if Suggs turns out to be the second coming of Chris Paul, he will end up bouncing around enough that the Rockets can get him if they really want him.

They are all really good players in the top 10, and we can't get them all in one draft. Green may turn out to be the best player in this draft, and it could turn out to be someone else entirely. Heck, it could turn out to be Senguin..

I trust that the Rockets' professionals know what they are doing, more than rando fans.

    I think so too.

Maybe I'm misremembering it, but I think some of the same people who were advocating for Sengun were also expressing concern over Green's height.

Turns out that Green is no shorter (maybe even taller) than you average SG, and Sengun looks really undersized for a C (a position where size plays a much bigger role).

Anyway, being undersized doesn't mean he can't be great, and I'm excited to watch him today.

wfh? DJ won a title and was Finals MVP with the Sonics and 4 time All-star SEA/PHO, perennial 1st Team Defense. I just think the league’s popularity had to get its boost from Magic/Bird b4 anyone really cared.

That would have been his best year in the NBA.

    Mystery solved.

Didn’t we trade him to get the pick, oddly.

With shoes 6'6.75". Sengun must be between 6'9" and 6'10" with shoes. With a 7 feet wingspan and underrated/sneaky athleticism will be Ok.

Garuba already has better handles than PJ (yeah not saying much). He also produces more assists and best of all, he can dunk. Give the kid a chance, he's only 19.

Oh I was just making a joke, I'm pretty high on Garuba actually. I just hope he learns how to shoot.

Duh. The assumption and the hope is that Jalen Green lives up to expectations.

Not saying Dennis Johnson was a bad player; like Suggs is not a bad player.

But their success is contingent on others around them......as is all players. MJ needed
Scottie Pippin, Kerr, Kukoc, Longley, Dennis Rodman, Grant, BJ Armstrong, Oakley, others to
get better as well. MJ took 28 FGA's per game in his 3rd season. Harden was seen as a ball
hog when he took 17 FGA's a game one season with Houston. What one views as great or
not great is open to opinion. If you read the article I posted: DJ was not liked by his teammates
and seen as a selfish player.

Rondo is seen as a very good player, bit of a selfish assist guy. That's why Ray Allen and Paul
Pierce were not the greatest fans of Rondo (behind the scenes).....yet Rondo was a champion.
    Accolades can be deceiving.

I would not pass on MJ/Kobe for Dennis Johnson.

You may see Jalen Green as Lou Williams....but that is on you and your opinion. I have mine.

In the end we will see

Jalen Rose was the first. He was named after two men in his family named James and Leonard. So the Fab Five is what happened.
