Nah. I was only pessimistic when we threw away our future for Russell Westbrook. Jalen Green and Rafael Stone have saved us. We are back.
I agree that he isn't going to get a chance at first..... but he also doesn't strike me as the type of personality to back down long term to Wall either.
They're playing 3 starters in the summer league in Cunningham, Hayes, and Bey and still getting dumped on. Damage control. He is supposed to be the missing piece. Lots of people see Detroit as a play-in tournament team with the addition of Cade. We were even thinking we might even get that 1st round pick to convey that we ended up trading to OKC in the package for Sengun.
2 years on his contract by the way, not 3. You nearly sent me into cardiac arrest. https://hoopshype.com/player/john-wall/salary/ https://www.spotrac.com/nba/houston-rockets/john-wall-6882/
I need to work where you work! I'll be joining you soon though. I'm cutting out early and plan to be watching nothing but basketball for the rest of the day.
With the emergence of the Bulls and other teams, Detroit can't be making the Play In because of 1 player no matter how great Cade turns out to be. Well, now even more impossible. 3 straight visits to the lottery, we'll see. Lotsa people = koolaid drinkers. If you aren't in for the long haul, you know nothing.
I think Cade is being underrated. I do believe him and Bey give them a couple of really solid core players. I think they will compete for play-in in the EAst
Summer League....where players get together 3 or 4 days before play. Garuba will probably fly in and be rushed to the dressing room. Sengun 4 blocks per game would probably be 6 blocks per game by Bassey. Nice but I'm not putting my house up as a bet. Daniel House yes....but not my house.
Perfect rejoinder - LOL And I agree, it's only SL. But what a fun SL it's been. Cannot wait to see Bassey vs. Sengun.
