Cade is going to be amped up tomorrow. I know he heard all of the noise today about his subpar game 1. If Jalen takes it up a notch in this game 2 match up, the hype level is going to get pretty ridiculous. And I am going to love every minute of it.
But this was always the case with Cunningham. He was always "saving himself" and not playing with energy when he was at OK State. He's a classic player who tries to "flip the switch" at key points. Not a good look when compared to other prospects.
I just really love the bravado of Jalen Green. When you talk sh*t, you purposely put a target on you back and you have no choice but to perform. Even if Jalen comes out and has a bad game, I LOVE the confidence! I love it a lot. I really love players letting people know what's up and not caring that people know they are passionate about something. it reminds me of the Morey Long sleeves weapons race era Rockets.
Cade will be amped but not as much as Jalen is normally. Jalen wants to destroy Cade. He takes things personal. He has a killer mentality like MJ.
They said the same with Wiggins before so I hope it's not the same case with him. It would be a fun ROTY race this year regardless.
Excited to see what Jalen has in his bag for Detroit. But Josh Christopher defense was impressive last game..curious to see how he defends Cade. I am starting to become a huge fan of JC game.
Has anybody found any podcasts where they discuss the ongoings in Summer League? The Ringer seems to be ignoring it. I hate them right now.
i think they were waiting until they got to see the top 5-ish draft picks play. I bet we get something tomorrow before the Cade, Green game tomorrow.
After we traded Harden, the whole thing, I was super down, but after this offseason, those 4 1st's, Theis, Nwaba back, plus we have I think 2 2022 1st's, we have I think Brooklyn's, plus have the right to swap with Miami, of course OKC can swap, I think it's top 10 protected, so as long as we're in the top 10, we keep our 1st, add more youth, then the 2023 draft we have Milwaukee's pick, and I also think we have a 2nd rd pick in 2022. I'm excited to see these young kids play, even if we end up in last place it'll be fun to watch these kids play, and develop.
Yeah, I remember the ESPN guys saying that teams felt there were 4 potential #1 overall picks(Cade, Green, Mobley & Suggs), still surprised TOR went with Barnes over Suggs. Heck, these 4 would likely go #1 next year, I don't think 2022 is a deep draft, or as top heavy as this year was. Glad we didn't lose the lottery by ending outside the top 4, I was so nervous, when I saw TOR & CLE enter the top 4, I was F*CK I threw my hat, but thank god.
What makes it hilarious is it is right off the back of the hoard of people hating the franchise for catering to Harden.
