He missed a lot of shots but that 'other' Johnson has played very good D, is quick and had got hops. We're going to the FINALS!!!
Great Job! Cannan can replace Lin's contribution, while Ariza can replace Parson's. We just need to find a backup center and we are pretty much the same team with maybe improvement in Defense because of Nick Johnson and Ariza.
I'm almost embarrassed that I'm really watching all of these games and experiencing anxiety in regards to the outcomes. It's freaking summer league and the majority of these guys will never don the red uniform! The life of us die hard Rockets fans. Particularly paying attention to Nick Johnson and the development of Isaiah Canaan, D. Mo, and Covington. Covington looks like he should be cut at the moment.
Yeah, I was really looking forward to watching Covington this summer league. Has definitely been a disappointment so far.
It would be a mild understatement for me to say I've been disappointed. He looks really bad and overmatched which is surprising considering he played well enough in the D League to be an All Star. He hasn't improved his game at all. Not good.
Summer league, where the fuel of hope for the future keeps a fan of the Rockets going until the start of training camp.
There is not a single person in this draft that looks like they will pan out to be superstars. Randle, Wiggins, and Parker have all been underwhelming, with Parker looking like the best shot at being a superstar out of those three.
Covington looks like he has the athleticism and skillset to be a rotation player in the league. But then his shots don't fall, and when he makes his moves to the basket, the ball doesn't go in. I am hoping this is just a cold streak, since he does have the D-League success to help his cause. But in reality he may just not be a very good basketball player.
I see more chances of Covington becoming a rotation player than with Canaan. Yes, I've seen all SL games, I know Covington has played bad.
