I'm shocked that the Cavs are willing to part with Wiggins. He looks like a really gifted player and it's just starting out for him. As much as I like Love, I wouldn't part with Wiggins.
Mchale can't yank these guys when they make mistakes. He kept running Garcia, Lin, Casspi out there...we have young talented guys. Mchale has to let these guys go through some growing pains. That's the only way they will be able to really evolve as players.
I'm secretly hoping that McHale refuses to change his ways and leads us to a terrible start. Dwight finally gets fed up and Morey "promotes" Mchale to the FO. We bring in George Karl and run train on the NBA
That would be awesome. I hope Morey has noted McHale's completely counterproductive whining recently. Most coaches would love the chance to coach this team.
He's not a bad defender, and dude is plenty strong. He was strong coming in as a rookie and he looks like he's in better shape right now....
Have you lost your mind...? If they hire George Karl, they're just asking to get kicked out the 1st round.
Dmo is still a terrible defender at his size and he still can not find a way to keep him in the court. Cannan is still a bad passer and just a streaky shooter in a small body. Covington, lets just say that its sad to see such a great body with almost zero basketball IQ and skills.
Because he's been out of the first round 7 times and actually taken a team to the finals... versus McHale, who, you know, will probably accomplish that... sometime... somehow. Yeah, I feel you.
He has shown to be a very capable post defender and is by far the best defensive PF on the squad but for whatever reason some people got it into their heads that he's a bad defender and aren't letting it go no matter how much evidence to the contrary there is.
he really needs to cut down on the foul rate if he expects to see bigger minutes. he can be pesky and has good feet for defending PFs off the dribble, but has a tendency to overplay the possession and get whistled for silly fouls. his awareness seems better in the post, and he gets his arms vertical. being a better post defender than tjones is a byproduct of simply being a larger human being (you can't teach size). on the down side he is a poor rebounder at either PF or C, and often seems to get lost on rotations in team defense.
