Nice. Definitely another candidate for the "man amongst boys" tag.

Leunen isn't far behind. Like Budinger, he makes good decisions most of the time. He's also productive on both ends of the floor.

    Disappointments: White and Taylor

I know it's just SL but you look for some positive signs even in this setting. Taylor seems to be an undersized SG who can't shoot. He doesn't seem to possess the playmaking skills some say he has. His only strengths seem to be athleticism and driving to the basket.

White has been awful. Bad, bad decisions on the offensive end. Getting frustrated too easily. I think he may have played his way off the team here. If not, he's certainly hasn't helped his stock.

The thing I like most about Chase is how he lets the game come to him. He was one of the few people on the team who wasn't forcing up shots and trying to do too much. You can look at his absolutely ridiculous shooting percentage to see he was taking smart shots.

Budinger 25 pts in 26 minutes.
Dorsey 20 rebs in 32 minutes.

These two will make the rotation. JT will not.

Budinger has to be the purest shooter out of all the rookies. Unbelievable.

    Thorpe's blog during our game:

Nice to see that some people from ESPN can admit their mistakes.

I actually liked what i saw from Taylor in this game. BBall IQ and passing ability are much better than I had thought. Man defense and ball handling not as bad as I had thought. He just needs to get into rhythm with his shot. With some time and experience I think he can be part of the rotation.

Budinger quite impressive. He's like a smaller SF version of Nowitzki out there. Needs a lot of work on closing out as a defender though.

White doesn't belong in the league.
