Hey thanks for that feed, it was great. I came in late but I really liked what I saw from Dorsey. You can tell he put in some work and if he continues he will def have a place in the league. I know there is alot of manlove for Randolph, he is a big talent and looks to have a bright future, but he is very undisciplined.

Budinger is showing his talent. But not enough toughness. He needs to slow down and finish inside.

pretty much sums up how Budinger played today....

Dorcey, Budinger, James White were the best among the Rockets SL team, but even then, they weren't that impressive at all.. On the other hand, that Randolf guy seems pretty solid...

I think you're overstating things here. Mental mistakes might keep him from playing big minutes or in the clutch. But the defense, rebounding and effort will keep Dorsey in the league at least.

In general, I liked what I saw out of him.

Yup. It's worth bearing in mind: this isn't just summer league, it's the very first game of the summer league schedule.

I'd be willing to chalk up most of this game's gaffes, goofs, and garbage plays to opening day jitters. (Most of these guys are playing for jobs, after all...)

The ones who continue to stink up the joint over the next four games? As you said: no chance.

I am impressed by him. He does have the talent. I think he will make the team.

Don't forget Temple. He was very important in the first half guys.

it's hard to judge after just one game. some guys looked completely lost, but a small handful showed promise.

guys with nba potential: dorsey, luenan, white, budinger, temple. IMO.

did any of those players earn or lose a roster spot today? probably not. let's see how the week works itself out for those players.

That Randolph seems like a total r****d. This Warriors team should've won this game going away, but dumb plays by Randolph and Curry jacking up shots kept them from victory.

Leunen looked better than all 3 of them...

Budinger played smart but he looked soft and nervous. Hit a nice turnaround J and played good D on occasion. A few bad TOs including one that led to a fastbreak dunk, got his ankles broke one time, reacted slow on defense a number of times.

Leunen looked the best overall from the Rockets. I don't care what the boxscore says. He played smart on both ends, didn't try to do too much, let the game come to him, played his role.

White was out of control, physically and mentally.

Curry was trigger happy. Took some awful shots. Made some good drives and a few good passes. Lots of TOs and fouls.

Newley doesn't look like NBA material. Best case is an end of the bench guy.

Dorsey rebounded well. Still has little to no offensive game. Got rejected at the rim a couple of times. Couldn't finish with contact. One good move to the basket off the dribble. I don't think that is a real part of his game though. Just a fluke play.

Except that Von has made it into the league, and has PROVEN he belongs....

Doesn't mean he has the mental strength to accel, but he has proven himself and his work ethic by being in and out of the league for 3 years until he got it enough to stick.

    "My Thoughts!"

Budinger = played solid throughout (-the blown layup) I'm liking him
White = looked rushed in the first few minutes needs to play his game and stop trying to Show what he can do and just do it
Dorsey = Terrible first half (imo) came back in the second and improved his play
Newly = looked decscent but need more touches to evaluate
Luenen = didn't know he had range but he impressed throughout the whole game
Watson = just didn't seem to get into a groove (sadly none of the bigs did)
Temple = really impressed me i didn't know much about him but his D was pretty good and he was hitting in the first half
    Benson = nothing special yet
Conroy = nice job handling the ball good passes ok D
Green = ok job not sure he can beat out Conroy for a job

I was diappointed I didn't get to see Taylor and Cousin (two players I want to see make the team)

FYI the ROCS carry the best win per in the summer league!

The Rockets paid a lot for Taylor and Budinger and Llull, hopefully it will not be money wasted.

There are only 15 roster spots....and I think Yao counts as one......so that leaves 14.....if they sign Budinger and Taylor, they have to make the Roster this year or Les wasted his money.

Von Wafer has proven he's smart enough and talented enough to be a role player in this leauge........just not a starter yet. That's the difference between him and Dorsey....Dorsey still needs to prove he can be a competent role player.

Looked as if White was pressing, maybe trying a little to hard to impress.
He needs to relax and let the game come to him
