My brush with fame! Yes, I did meet Dave Matthews. He and his road manager came rolling in around 3 p.m. looking like they had just woken up (which I'm sure they had). They ordered some very strong cappuccinos. To be honest, I didn't know much about Dave Matthews at that time, but I knew that the guy in front of me looked a lot like him. So I just took a shot and asked, "Are you playing around here tonight?" He looked shocked and said, "You know who I am?" Long story short -- he was really cool, he put me on the guest list and Jeff and I had a great time at the show that night. Rock stars...is there anything they don't know?
A friend of mine suggested once that it would be cool to work one summer at that tiny, little Taco Cabana on the corner of Montrose and Westheimer. Think of the stories you could tell after that experience.
You can, but I don't think it would do you much good. I never actually touched Dave, so I don't have any Matthews mojo on me. But I did make his cappuccino for whatever that's worth.
If you were that close to Dave, you HAVE the MOJO!!! And in that case, I am second to touch you after RM95. Thank you!
Oh yeah, sorry to derail the thread, back to job suggestions: Strippers make good money, but crack w**** I think is the best suggestion.
Mrs. JB -- that's such a cool story...my brother in law has met him a few times and says he's really nice.
