The kids and I have been on the go since early Feburary, 3 different ball teams (coaching two) and another in dance 2 days out of the week, we are looking forward to relaxing after work by the pool. Also, I know that we will see a coulple of Hooks games and a few Astros games.
Not yet, still finalizing. It will either be right before or right after Labor Day weekend. So far, we have some open invitations for St. Louis, Chicago, Baltimore, New York and Boston. We're just going to have to figure out how to make it all work.
In june I'm loading up the MINI with my camping gear and the 2 kids (we'll be traveling lite) and camping our way across the south with a final destination of the Smokey Mt. National Park, Family in Salem S.C. and a few days wearing the tires and breaks off the MINI on the Tail of the Dragon. 318 curves in 11 miles.
Going to try a 8 to 15 day backcountry biking trip on Vancouver Island (and on to the San Juan's if it goes well and the weather's good) with the Misses and the two kiddies. Our first bike trip in a few years! And a couple of weeks in LA and southern California in the Fall. And this is the year I finish renoing the house. May even tackle the garden.
I'll be staying in Europe. My family is coming out to visit me and we are going to Amsterdam for a week, and Spain (costa bravo) for 2. Maybe we will go to southern France as well. Other than that I'll just be working.
Yep. Those 10K lakes make for some pretty prime breeding and since they've only got 3 months before the cold gets them they try to make the most of it. Its really bad up north in the Boundary Waters. There are nights when its like a wall of mosquitos.
Why? Seems to me the main body of the Mississippi River is all west of the Lake Superior, unless you consider its tributaries as part of the Mississippi.
I'm going to send my wife and daughter up to the lake house in New Hampshire while I slave away in Manhattan.
Well as an update I got back from Italy last week; nice three weeks there, but I couldn't stand the people... Now I'm up here in NY after a week at my internship at the Baseball HOF. Some highlights so far: -I got to hold and research the hat worn by Clemens when he strck out 20 against the Tigers in 1996. -Same with a pair of Phil Rizzuto cleats. -Also for the HOF's 67th birthday on Monday, the department I'm working with has to plan a "celebration" for it; we wanted to get some memorabilia from 1939 and a mini glove signed by the likes of Ruth, Cobb, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Foxx, etc will be on display (I got to handle that as well). -Tomorrow (June 11), Shaun Dean will be here with his family as part of luncheon in his honor (I had a chance to meet him earlier today when he was walking around). Any questions for him? I'll be working at that event tomorrow as well. Leading up to induction weekend there should be many many more highlights with former players (Seaver, George Brett, Ozzie Smith, Koufax, Killebrew will be at pre-induction functions I hope to work at). So yeah, so far, pretty neat.
