    Hilarious!

YAO MING IS DUNKIN MASTER III!

Perhaps an idea for Rockets' marketing.

Oh yeah as far as specific improvements.

    1. Move the ball more.

    2. Reduce turnovers.

That applies to all of the Rox.

Yao - Shoot-first, pass second. And please, keep the ball up high!

Steve - Pass-first, shoot-second. And do the words, excessive dribbling mean anything to you?

Everybody - Passing's good. Don't be afraid of it.

You can't put it all squarely on JVG's shoulders...especially if the same problems are surfacing as they did under Rudy's tenure...sooner or later it comes down to whether or not the players are buying into the system and trusting it and their teamates, which I don't see happening night in and night out (save for the defense).

A couple to add for each.
    Yao Ming
    - Rebound the ball with the feet, not the height by simply reaching over from a bad position.
    - Face up to the basket more. Using the height advantage, he can drain a jumpshot easily for a defender who's a step too far or just fake the move, etc.

    Steve
    - Practice different types of passes into the post.
    - Defend your man.

    Cat
    - Don't spend too much effort trying to mesmorize your oponent when go one-on-one.
    - Need to work the PNR. Don't have to always look away from your teammate that just set up a pick for you.

    - Trust your teammates more - don't go for a rebound when a teammate is already in position to get it

good point, i've seen this a lot this year from mobley, and from the rockets in general.

I'd have to respectfully disagree. When Sir Charles was asked what his rebounding technique was, he replied "Go get the damn ball!" Being aggressive is important for rebounding, and I wouldn't criticise anyone for going after the rebound. It is the fault of the teammate "in position" for not going for the ball more actively.

    Yao -

Learn to create space by bumping the defender before taking a shot. This space will prevent players from getting right in his face and blocking his shot, especially on those fadeways.

Learn to fake the pass and drive the opposite direction.

Set up at the low left block and go across the middle and shoot the hook.

When shooting, jump vertically rather than at an angle.

    Steve-

Take better angles off the pick.

Don't hold the ball. Make quicker, better decisions.

    Improve passing skills.

When running the break, do not hesitate. Take the ball at full speed as if going for a layup. Do not give up the ball until the defender commits to you. Once the defender commits, do not continue towards the basket. Pass the ball immediately.

    Cat-

    Improve passing skills.

    Improve passing skills.

    Improve passing skills.

    Mo Taylor-

    Learn to rebound.

    Learn to rebound.

    Learn to rebound.

    Moochie -

    Retire.

    Retire.

    Retire.

Yes, its time to focus on offense. I think that it is obvious at this point we are a .500 team if we have the best "D" in the league. It is somewhat unfair to judge the players at this point because I don't think they have been given the tools to excel. And on the subject of the thread:

    Francis:
-advance the ball past the 3-point line, it isn't a wall it is only a line... maybe rockets need to practice without that line on the floor
-focus on passing, not just drive and kick plays
-actually play the rolls on the pick and roll
-he needs to practice getting in guys heads, start causing other guys to lose their concentration rather than the other way around

    Yao:
-tell JVG you aren't a low post player exclusively, the turnaround jumper must have a terrible percentage
