First seasons gonna be brutal regardless. If he can keep the current recruiting class he might be okay.
not a bad hire but seems like a lateral move from firing Sherman, I can see another 6-6 season....Saban and Miles will destroy him
The more I read about it the more I believe that Aggie finds wouldn't know a winner if he just left a 12-1 team.
http://www.chron.com/sports/cougars...es-reports-about-job-at-Texas-A-M-2342233.php take it how you want, I still think it's inevitable
I think Neuheisel and Sherman would enjoy coaching the QBs and O-Line and U of H. It'd definitely be low stress, I think the worst Helton ever got was a sternly worded editorial in the DC, and then the follow-up column complaining that all of yesterday's copies were stolen from the fieldhouse racks.
Sumlin may end up the Aggies coach, but I believe him when he says he hasn't spoken to A&M yet.... all he had to say was no comment. If he gets the job in 24 hours then he looks really bad.
UH should try to get Sherman. He recruited well and actually made aTm somewhat relevant. The problem with a program like UH is that it will always be a stepping stone unless you get lucky and get a Chris Peterson. I think hiring an older coach (ie. Sherman) will help with that as hes not about just running around trying to climb the coaching ladder. Would Sherman come to UH?? Who knows but at least you can try.
Well, hopefully he succeeds there. And has a better DC than what UH has. Man their defense is atrocious.
Maybe, but it really makes him look bad if he is lying, when he really didn't need to... then again Saben, Meyer, Briles and others threw their integrity out the window and denied it as well.
The guy who is claiming to have a "source" who knows this is Barry freaking Warner. Take it for what it's worth.
