Suburbs are Memorial, Tanglewood, Meyerland or something. Not something 45 minutes out with their own government and services. And definitely not cities like Bryan.
Suburbs are not Memorial, Tanglewood, and Meyerland. All those places you just named are neighborhoods/districts in the City of Houston. Suburbs are Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, etc. Exurbs are places like Hempstead, Lake Jackson, Brookshire, etc. It's not a big deal, but I think it'd be good if you went and looked up what "suburbs" and "exurbs" are. Most suburbs are their own cities. Take Dallas-Fort Worth for example. Would you not say that places like Plano, Richardson, Frisco, etc., are not suburbs of Dallas because they have their own government and services?
Your post = gay J/P I live in Sugar Land and been to Woodlands a lot...there isn't much of a difference b/w the two. I wouldn't mind living in either place. Like posters above said Sugar Land is really diverse and since I'm ethnic I enjoy living in Sugar Land.
sugar land is bigger and ahead in development but pearland will be better and more affluent 10 years from now i think
pearland better cause: its closest suburb to midtown downtown and medical center so u get the luxury of suburban life and still have quick access to the heart of htown
