Sugar Land minor league team name: The Skeeters

That name is horrible. How did no one in the room speak up and say "wait a minute..." when deciding on the name Skeeter.

 

I saw the three names on the news this morning and figured this was the least likely of the three to win. They proved me wrong.

 

Yeah. It's right across First Colony Mall. Every time I pass by that place, it makes me chuckle haha.

 

i will definately be buying a shirt and hanging it next to the 1836 shirt in my dorm.

 

That name is great....sounds southern and named after a misquito.....will sell a lot of merchandise....

Stupid name. Should have been called the c*m-Shooters instead.

 

It will definitely be easier to give directions now. Go past the Skeeter stadium and take a right to get to Kempner High School.
