That doesn't make sense. I'm not saying it's an unrecognized school or school that's looked down upon. Just saying that it's a school not as highly regarded as others.

I practically live on campus. The only reason I go to my lonely apt is to sleep and eat. Just being on campus helps me want to get work done.

In terms of studying, I prepared for test a week in advanced. I didn't really keep up with what we were currently doing in class because test would just pile up every week.

I suggest making a lot of friends who are a year ahead of you. Networking is key in college. You can get your hands on old exams/hw/notes for lots of classes.

In recent testing, when given a choice for sexual partner, 9 out of 10 women chose a pilot over a student.

I didn't study at all for my first degree. Then again, I wasn't the least bit interested in it.

My second degree was a BS in Nursing. There were several times I quite literally though it might kill me, lol. Nursing school is no joke.

Didn't study near enough as I should.

As an undergrad in business school it was pounded into our heads how important communication skills are both written and oral. Working a real job and teaching adults now I completely occur. It's not a hard thing just get along with people, not suck up I mean but get along, be pleasant, available, open and tolerant. Your demeanor is so important these days when everything is about teamwork. You learn so much now on the job. So just be a quick learner who can handle stress and get along with others. Do that and life is easy.

The "adults" I teach now have extremely poor written and oral communication skills. They can barely write a paper and couldn't argue a point to save their life. Resumes and cover letters? lol.......

Industrial engineering is probably one of the easiest majors out there. Good luck trying to pass mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering without studying.

A strong GPA, which reflects work ethic and discipline, will open more doors for you during your initial hunt for entry level positions, but written and oral communication skills are essential to climbing the corporate ladder. Verbal competence is vital to a healthy work atmosphere, and employers place a considerable amount of emphasis on this trait. Connections and prior work experience are also important, but your Dad, buddy, former co-worker can only do so much (it also depends on the individual's pull/influence). Also, physical appearance is critical -- clean shaven, well-dressed, polished employees exude confidence. Corporate head-honchos take note to employees' demeanor and ability to interact in a team setting, so if you lack communication skills, you're likely going to be left in the dust. Charisma goes along way in this world.

It's not very difficult, but you have to make an effort:

-Verbal communication skills in a pressure-packed atmosphere.
-To a lesser degree, written communication skills (not difficult, simply requires focus).
    -GPA, reflects work ethic/discipline.
    -Connections, and previous work experience/internships.
    -Physical appearance, also reflects discipline.

Meh. Depends on your environment. If you get **** done at a high level people will notice. Whether you have a beard or not.

What is that? I'm a UT engr alum and that wasn't a major/department lol. Is it like majoring in pseudo engineering courses like "engr management" or "engr science"

Very true, but why provide them with a reason to doubt your discipline/create a false perception of indifference?

Yes but college girls are sluttier and stewardesses are uglier than they used to be, so who wins that marathon?

i mean its got hard classes like:

    statics
    thermo
    diff. eq.
    linear algebra

but the filler classes and joke of a senior year make it wayy easier than EE/ChemE/MechE/AeroE
