Yao gives all his money to his parents and you think he's smart for that? I'd call him the dumbest player in the league! He needs to be out sippin' purple drank from a crunk cup and playin' ladies.
They may have the easiest promotion job in the world, but they're doing a pretty good job at it. I think that I read that his Akron homies had made LeBron considerably more promotional money than the "Pros" that represented him before.
My sister was thinking about moving her family to Shanghai. Do you know how much a three-bedroom house in a decent neighborhood would cost? Cause it's very expensive to buy a house in America too.
I'm from Shanghai. In China we're using $ per square meter for house pricing. In a decent neiborhood it's about 10000RMB per square meter, which is equal to $116/square foot. So if you are buying a house of 2000 square feet, it's gonna be around $250K.
However, the larger the house, the higher the unit price will be. So realistically a house of 2000 square feet will cost at least $300K, I think.
And the 300k new house comes with nothing most of the time. You have to spend another 20-50k to remodel the house( things like sink, bath tub, counters. It is little cheaper to buy exsiting house from someone though. I should have gotten in on the market a few years ago and would have double or tripled my money.
Location is valued much more than neighborhood in Shanghai. There are no lack of nice neighborhoods in greater Shanghai that rival the ones here in the U.S. But most of them are not "ideally" located. By that I mean they are too far from those widely acclaimed "hot" zones/areas, for instance the Bund, Nanjing Road, Huahai Road, etc.
Well it looks like a home in Shanghai is by no means cheap, but at least it's affordable. Unlike me, my sister can actually afford to spend $350-$400K on a home. It'd still be a good time to buy a house for you, I think. The housing bubble here is America hasn't slowed down at all. There's no reason to think it'll stop in a florishing city like Shanghai. I'm getting too old. When I was young I thought a million dollars be enough for a huge mansion. Now, in the suburbs around Los Angeles, a million dollars will get you a 2500sq ft house with a few bedrooms. My mom spent 450k on her home about twelve years ago. Now homes right next door are going for 1.2 million dollars and selling fast. It's absolutely insane.
One thing you guys need to know is that in China, what you buy is the use of the land, but not the ownership of the land. You will have to return the land to the government after 70 years. Land belongs to public. It's the land policy in China.
I'm from China, actually it's not that uncommon that parents help keeping their children's money here. Different culture. btw, Shanghai is an international city, top 3 in China. It's not as cheap as you think, I think
er, when I said cheaper land, I wasn't exactly thinking Shanghai....... I usually wonder what the NBA players spend their bags of green stuff from the contract one. T-Mac has his own personal BB court, gym, personal chef, pet ferret and a large mansion. Yao simply sends it to his parents.
