A handful of dead scorpions covered in horseradish sauce and cheap mustard wrapped in rye bread taste better than anything that's attempted to constitute a sandwich at Subway.
Just don't get me wrong of Jd's... it's not the best in the world... but pretty good and much better than Subway and a handful of other places. Try Katz's too for Deli Style... Kenny and Ziggy's is another good but way too overpriced version of this.
Jasons deli is 100x better than subway. I'm just not one for "plain" sandwhiches which is what they mostly have. Like I said, I eat there all the time becuz it is relatively healthy
You're the guy who throws a chair at a party and stands back while everyone else fights... that said... my answer is bolded.
Now you're simply being a sandwich snob... and that's like being an oil rag snob.... It's ridiculous and you should be pointed at and laughed at... Subway is certainly not the best sandwich I've ever had, but it's not worse than what you described here.... I guarantee if you had to pick between the former and a Subway sandwich at gun point, you'd pick the latter... Unless you're going to compare gourmet sandwiches, and unless you're routinely getting phlegm slathered between two month old crackers, a sandwich is a sandwich... Honestly, let's not be absurd here...
The French. They invaded Vietnam and forced the people to use French baguettes in all meals under the penalty of death.
 Let's assume for a second that what you're responding to wasn't serious, and was in fact... a light-heart jest that was a satirical hyperbole in its nature. Second, let us examine what you said about spit and crackers. Subway often used stale, old "bread" and the employees they hire are bottom of the barrel, who I frequently don't see washing their hands after using El baƱo. So there is worse than phlegm in those amigo.
I'm sorry none of you have access to Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market and you are forced to compare Subway sandwiches Subway uses yoga mat filling #sandwichsnob
No love for brown bag deli? I'm not a sandwich snob but they are my fave sandwich place. I'm sure Kenny and Ziggy's is good but I've only eaten there once and their monte cristo was not the best I've had. What I really wanted to order was pastrami on rye with MAYO but I thought they'd kick me out.
If it's between Subway and Lee's i'm going with Subway. If it's Subway vs any other Vietnamese sandwich on a baguette, I'm going with that. There is something about Lees I just don't like. Not sure if it's the carrots or what. Might be that.
Really surprised at the number of people still eating bread. I thought that fad died out around 2012.
