I can't remember why, but when BB first started posting here, I got infuriated with him and put him on ignore - which is something I've always been against (if you don't like what someone says, either ignore it or say something about it...don't hide). A day or so later, I felt bad about it and took him off. I'm definitely glad I did, because now he's one of my favorite posters on here. Not a story about a stupid post of mine, but one about a stupid usage of the board, at least. Also, I've been banned about 3 or 4 times, so any one of the posts that got me the heave would qualify, but here's the first: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37524
i started 3 threads in one night about trading Steve Francis. It was after a great win over LA i think. i kept bumping my own thread to get on the home page and up my post count... --banned i also posted vids of Rudy Gay in 5 different threads complaining about the Battier deal. and then started 2 separate threads... ---banned i blame drugs...
I once started a thread asking how to download a new soundcard. But even stupider than that....I once repped SwoLy-D...
Ohhhhhhhhh... you're 38?!?!? You finished school? Well, by golly, sir, why on earth would anyone correct a 38-year-old who finished schoo but forgets to capitalize an " I "?? Those punks! FAIL. They asked about "stupidest post", not "how stupid are you?", sir.
Ha ha! Such irony. No way that was your worst. I don't think I've had anything spectacularly bad, but a couple of episodes from the distant past come to mind. 1. I once called out Clutch for posting inside info that was uncertain and caused a big stir on the board only to not pan out in the end. I thought he shouldn't have gotten everybody riled up if it wasn't a slam dunk. I don't remember what the inside info was about. I think he was mad at me about it and criticized me back, but didn't ban me or anything. I've never been banned in over a decade. 2. I started a thread when RealGM was new to challenge people to put together the biggest, most complicated blockbuster they could think of. The thread fell flat. 3. I was immortalized in Clutch's quotes feature a few years back for saying trading Francis/Mobley was a mistake. I was wrong, but I don't think the post was dumb.
The stupidest thing I have ever done on here was when I tried to sell some tickets I got for free for 5 dollars. I should've sold them for way more.
When I started a thread suggesting the Texans should take a look at Marvin Harrison two years ago. Man, did THAT end in failure.
