i stand corrected. austin and houston both have banned it. it is, however, legal in the state of texas and many other states. varies from district to district (for instance clear lake isd neighboring houston). thanks for clarifying.

 

I feel bad for the lady, but if you're going to work with kids these days, you need to have thicker skin. Any adult who cries because some kid calls you fat shouldn't be working with kids.

My wife is a teacher and I can guarantee you if she was on that bus, those kids would have the FEAR OF GOD put in them the first time one of them opened their dirty little pie-holes.

Sorry, but there's no crying in teaching.

The video itself is pretty lame. From what I heard, it didn't even come close to capturing the magic of the event.

 

That old lady was weak. If I were her I would have told those kids to "shut the **** up you punk ass little b*tches or I'm gonna f*** you up like you don't even know".

If those kids continued, I would have gotten my cell phone ON THE SPOT and called 911 for harassment.

I'd charge them after the fact now that the video is posted and is evidence.

If I ever talked to an adult like that, my parents would have beat the **** out of me... and I was only spanked once or twice in my life.

If my kids do anything like that, they wont be able to sit for a week, let alone do anything after school until they graduate.

 

I find it interesting that some people think that she should be the one changing her behavior. The whole, " well if your are working with kids, you have to be able to take it" line. I think that line of reasoning sums up why we have this problem. People are unwilling to hold kids accountable. Rather we look at someone else to blame for the problem. Look at the root of the problem, I will give you a hint, its not the lady the kids are making fun of. Once you know the root of the problem, you can fix it.

 

Both parties are at fault. The kids are accountable for their misbehavior and the bus monitor is also at fault for not knowing how to handle the situation. The kids fed off her weak demeanor. She should of acted stringent.
