While science and studies are of the greatest important to our survival and well being, how much of how we live can we turn over to what studies say?

Males deposit sperm into sperm banks. In-vitro processes were provided to couples who wanted to conceive but couldn't. Beautiful thing. Now those organizations have reshifted their focus at lesbian couples who want to have children, and single women who want to have children. To get the MONEY.

I can't find the article, but it predicted in-vitro to be the way of the future to conceive children because human sex as a way to conceive is largely an "inefficient process" to do that, while in-vitro will be close to 100% in later years...(its not saying dont have sex, its saying if a woman wants to be pregnant on SPECIFIC days around her schedule, go to the clinic and get it done in-vitro for SURE instead of hoping sex gets it done...)

Whats that all saying? It saying get your DIRTY UNPREDICTABLE PENIS out the way, and let the WONDERFUL WOMB have dominion.

The world might indeed be a safer and better place for it. But the current form of 'masculinity' as we know it probably wont take part. So yes, why SHOULD you just let a labcoat tell you what to do when its looking to marginalize what YOU are.

(And slightly off-topic - sex is "inefficient", yet prevailing opinion is the world is overpopulated. Well, it seems that inefficient sex cranked out MORE than enough offspring, didnt it? So who's opinion do you go with? )

Isaac Davis: I got a kid, he's being raised by two women at the moment.

Mary Wilke: Oh, y'know, I mean I think that works. Uh, they made some studies, I read in one of the psychoanalytic quarterlies. You don't need a male, I mean. Two mothers are absolutely fine.

Isaac Davis: Really? Because I always feel very few people survive one mother.

Who says those companies didn't do it for the money before? And who says all companies today are in it for the money?

You'll fight anything that marginalize you even if those things are the right things to do?

Let me propose a situation to you: a labcoat says you're carrying a deadly disease with no cure and need to be locked up for the rest of your life.

Do you obediently get in their truck or do you flee to Toyota Center to breath your germs all over the crowd?

These sort of "studies" are stupid.
