That's why they are laker fans..they are classless it's pathetic. I'm a fan of the game and if a Rockets player did anything that the Lakers did tonight I would be the first to stand up and say that's just not called for and he shouldn't have done it. To condone that kind of action just shows the lack of understanding of what this game is and what it used to mean. bring back some integrity to the game and get rid of these low life fans that believe football should be played on the hardwood.
I hope he will get suspended and the Rockets will remember it by the time game 4 comes around. Then send Cook & White after his ass and stomp for the b**** he is, they will not get any PT anyway.
The only way kobe gets suspended is if he punches someone.. even then, it's a toss-up. Why would you want to play a Kobe-less Lakers team anyways? I'd rather lose fair than win with help.. I'm glad we have a team with integrity to root for. I would hate cheering for the Lakers.
i don't think i've seen a foul as malicious as that one, i mean he straight up hockey hip checked him, scola is lucky to have all his ribs intact, props to scola for not whooping his ass....o man do you realize if rafer was still here that would have been another phx type brawl?! but what can brooks do against fisher? an oregon guy is too layed back to fight over that, raf woulda had scola's back...not intending to beat down on brooks for not doing anything, it was a smarter play not to, just noticing the difference
NBA wants Lakers in finals. They will just put another cheap shot on Houston like the Lakers did and Houston will get penalized.
The best part was Scola was fine and Fisher had blood coming out of his head. What an idiot! Game 3 is gonna be intense!
I posted my sentiments in another thread about this play. It was Lowry that was right there when it happened, Brooks was far away. And a Fisher-Lowry fight would have been awesome. But Lowry was able to maintain his composure and realize the importance of that play. That was the only way we were gonna have a shot in that game. Believe me, Lowry wanted to retaliate but he knew it would have been pointless and we could have lost a point for it. I agree Rafer would have done something about it because he is TOO emotional. Lowry has his head on straight and can still be tough. I hope someone gets physical with Fisher in this series and my money is on Lowry to do so when the time is right. He pulled down a rebound in the 4th and he was looking for someones head to run into his elbow. I just when Lowry or whoever (Barry?) confronts Fisher it doesn't result in points for the Lakers. I think a veteran type player will have to get Fisher back at some point. I believe Lowry is a veteran type player even though he is so young.
Granted - it has been pretty disappointing make that upsetting to me that Kobe got away with the knee/elbow on Battier. And now if he gets away with the Artest incident - then it will go to prove no matter what. The NBA is going to do what it takes to make sure we have a Kobe vs. Lebron showdown for the Finals because it is all about Money! Like some have said - a Dwight vs Yao showdown won't bring in as much as a Kobe vs Lebron. With all that being said - in my eyes the Rockets are the true champion! I just hope the Rockets can win this despite not getting an even level playing field from the NBA. Actually I'm praying that the Rockets win this so the NBA can CRY! And as I said, whoever wins this series is going to be the NBA Champions.
No doubt it was to the throat..and I think that the rule states that any elbow above the shoulders warrants a suspension..Going by that rule, he should be suspended.
I don't, so he shouldn't be pushing the envelope of the rules. Lose fair? You call it fair if they play like this and get away with it? I'm glad we have integrity too, but it should be rewarded better if the NBA cares about their image at all, and with all the controversy lately, they should be a better steward of their image of impartiality.
