but there are guys like Pat and Chandler who are way underpaid and in order for them to get paid their real value they are most likely going to have to go to another team...

    Which is bad for everyone

its bad for the Rockets because they grew those guys and their hands are tied

its bad for the players because they have to decide between a pay cut or losing most of the time

and its bad for the league because it weakens one of the exciting teams in the league and just makes another mediocre team out in Minnesota or Wherever, USA that is going to lose money anyway.

Hurrh? Parsons is under a rookie deal. He will go where the money is at. We are not holding him against his will. Same for us, we can offer what we think he's worth. Same goes for Pat

but we can't really offer them what we think they are worth, we can only offer them what we think they are worth within the confines of a cap and after we pay 2 players 65% of that cap.

This should allay any fear one may have of Les being scared of the tax. At the rate that the cap is going, the Rockets clearly don't have to worry about this short of Beverley playing like Kawhi and require a max contract next offseason.

Kevin Durant pipe dream will also be helped by this move. Assuming we don't get our 3rd star this year. We can pile on some big contracts in trade that ends in 2016 like Thaddeus Young, Ilyasova, Zaza Pachullia, etc. to give us depth. Then it will just be Harden showing Durant the strip clubs. :)

Definitely good news for the Rockets whether we get our 3rd star now or not.

No, but the NBA is trying to make more money by favoring teams like the Lakers.

Lakers bring in more money for the league than the Bucks? I'm shocked..

I can't imagine any team paying Howard that much.
