Its gonna be so cool watching Ginter, Oswalt and Rodriguez kick ass at the major league level cause I got to see them all when they were at Round Rock. Though I think Ginter would be a better 3B than at second.

And I think the staff has what it takes. Elarton will be good, and Reynolds will be his usual consistent self. I think it comes down to Dotel, whether or not he can be a regular starter and Bottenfield, if he can regain the form he had a few years ago. Anything Lima gives is bonus, cause he can't get any worse than last year.

Alou is playing right field, Berkman's in left.

That being said, there is no way Ward can play right field. I would dearly love seeing Ward in our batting lineup, but there's just no place for him in the field. I really think he will be traded this year in a package for a front line pitcher IF the Astros are in the playoff hunt and want to make a push to go deeper in the playoffs.

Living in Dallas, there isn't much I can do to see the Astros, but I am definetely attending one if not two of the Astros vs. Rangers games (I think they are in June). While there, I will make sure that Alex Rodriguez knows that he is making too much money, and that I think his wife is ugly. [IMG]

That's a really interesting link Mango. Thanks. Looks like Drayton turned a tidy profit last season. I am surprised that the owners were so open with their books.

thacabbage: you're right in that hte Astros hve the best lineup in baseball.

personally, I think that MAKING the playoffs will be the hardest part for the 'stros. If they get to the playoffs, they have a great shot, since you only really need 3 pitches, and I'm guessing Elarton, Reynolds, and at least ONE other person will pan out.

Unfortunately, I'm worried about the rotation winning enough games to GET them to the post-season.
