Swift just strike me as the kind of guy that is going to loaf after he gets that big pay day. Erick Dampier is a perfect example. 2 seasons ago he averaged 8 points and 7 rebounds. Last season (In a contract year) he went up to 12 points and 12 rebs a night. After he got his something like 70 mill out of Cuban, he his numbers have declined across the board. Given the most minutes that Swift had averaged on a nightly basis is 26, I still think we should stay clear of this guy. Give me Ronnie Turiaf or Sean May in the draft and lets call it a night. I'm not opposed to Hakim Warrick Either.

....not really sure how how shooting and scoring have any relation to the word "intangible" but anyways....;)

I like your comparason of Chandler to Marcus Camby, I can definitely see it. Only in this case, Chandler would be the 22 year old, 7-1 version--which makes it all the more appealing.....and unlikely.

A solid, consistent #3 scorer is paramount. If we had one in the Dallas series we would have run away with that series & never looked back. In regards to adding a PF to be that scorer, I don't think it will happen. Right now, i'm thinking we should try to dupe Isiah Thomas into being his usual foolish self and trading us Kurt Thomas for Juwon Howard---or something along those lines. Then use the MLE by brining in somebody considered "damaged good" like Sprewell and go from there. It's just an idea but its something that could work. JVG and Spree would get along fine and no, I don't think he's washed up & I feel he's perfectly capable of still being a good defender---his offense and energy come without question.

Plus, i'm sure it never hurts that these two guys both have connections to the Knicks.

I agree, Marshall is the best option of the available PFs. I don't care that he's 32, just only give him a 3 year deal. Having a PF with Marshall's range would open up things for Yao under the basket.

How about sign Othella Harrington for cheap? The guy can hit his shots, and is very hard working!!

Camby has a pretty good jump shot, Chandler doesn't, so he won't draw defenders from Yao.

And Chandler plays out of control too often, and stupid too--see the last shot he took when Chicago needed 3pts to tie?

I'd like to have him, but he would be too expensive to have with all his shortcomings.
