While neither may be good enough, Juwan is the worst PF in the West. His stats and +/- numbers are insanely off the charts on the low side. Stromile is basically middle of the pack. No, he hasn't been great by any means. But he seems to be serviceable, and at the very least not nearly the negative on the team that Juwan is on the floor, I don't care how dumb he is or how out of control he has played.

Stro's biggest problem is playing within himself. He won't learn to do that sitting the bench while the Yao-Juwan combo goes -11 to start the 2nd half. Stro has a penchant for fouling because he plays out of control. Number of fouls is the ONLY stat that Juwan is significantly better than him at when you break down the per 48 minute numbers.

That's because Juwan does not move! It's hard to have fouls called on you when you are petrified in one place for 24 seconds.

If you have more blocked shots, it means you are going for more defensive plays. Therefore, it makes sense that more fouls will be called on you too.

Check out Juwan's blocked shot stats for the season.

Don't even go there. I think he's tied with Antwan Jamison among starting PFs for the lowest blocked shots in the league. That wouldn't be so bad if he could play good man to man defense, but he can't. When they isolate on him, it's an automatic help situation for Yao.
