I know what you're saying is the inside scoop. I have some stripper history myself. Another thing a lot of folks don't know is that the dancers have to pay house fees to work. So they are actually in the hole by as much as $100 before they even get on stage or give their first dance. The way the clubs completely take advantage of the girls is just sickening. But hey, they put themselves in that situation, mostly by lack of intelligence. The truly intelligent ones (I'm not talking street smarts) are few and far between.

I went to a strip club once in mexico..Reynosa to be specific. It was called the stardust and it wasn't that bad, though the night did feel surreal since i had never been to a strip club before. Customer base is...40% hispanic, 30% white and the rest mixed. One thing I will say is that we try to keep the thug, gangster, gangbangers out of the club. So that kind of weeds out the "brothas". They're always trying to "play" pimps, and trying to sell drugs. So we don't want them there. Our trick is to play mostly old school rock, and a lot of spanish latin music...no rap, no hip hop, and no r&b. That way we don't have any drunk thugs in there trying to shoot up the place or trying to start a fight. You want rap go to "highrollers" or "club onyx". We cater to the blue collar, white collar types and CLUTCHFANS. :grin:

Men's club doesn't have an S.O.B license (sexually oriented business) so the girls ONLY wearing pasties can get them thrown in jail or get the club fined. They have to wear latex under the pasties, or else they get in trouble. Unless they got one and I don't know about it.
You get a "cool story bro from me". Kidding. No but I will tell you the strip clubs in Monterrey Mexico are the BEST, I've been there. The girls there all look like the ones in the Mexican soap operas, I swear to god I almost had a heart attack when I was in there.
What percentage of people that go during the day are unemployed? Of the ones that are employed how many of those are are there on the companies time? Do you carry a gun? Seems like drugs + prositution + you being there all the time = matter of time before an incident occurs. Liking working at a 7/11 minus naked girls...
Yeah, who is this rat???? And I've been doing this for a while now buddy...strip clubs are what they are, they mayor knows it, vice knows it, hpd knows it, and even my grandmother now knows it. It's a part of life. There's been ex waitresses and dancers that have gone to channel 2 news and to the cops to report prostitution at their ex jobs (cause they got fired), and....WHAT HAPPENED nothing! It's weird how law enforcement doesn't get more involved. When I first started working there I was always worried about the club getting busted or something but it's been almost 2 years since we got raided. I don't know how that is possible but it is. Penthouse gets raided all the time because they're messy, and their management team is stupid.
that goes to my question. from what i've found, the law in the city of houston is there can be no "sexually oriented businesses" within 1500 feet of residences, churches, schools, nursery schools, and parks. in order to remain legal, and stay open they can either become bikini clubs or move. the big argument was that there are no more viable locations in the city to move to, thus they are forced to cover up.
We get a couple of scumbags, that like to go in there and try to sell drugs while eating all of our free food and drinking nothing but dollar drinks. I can smell em a mile away. We kick em out before they get comfortable. The blue/white collar types go in there for lunch time, and sometimes after work never on their shift...well I'm lying sometimes they do. Like I said before it's weird but we weed out the trouble makers by playing music they don't like...thugs don't like listening to Shakira and Mana...much less 80's rock music. We got an armed security guard at the door and our own collection of guns in the back in case someone gets cute. Everybody respects us, we stay out of their business and the don't F with ours.
