Akuma is super duper uber cheap. I don't remember him being this difficult. Took me FIFTY tries to defeat him. I haven't swore this much in fifteen years, lol.
Have some of the moves for the supers changed for some character? I can't seem to pull off guile's and chun li's.
Man. I used to be king. I just got my butt handed to me 4/5 times. I guess I should have practiced first. The 1 victory came when I accidentally picked Honda. Looks like Sagat's range on his airborne kick has been shortened. Totally screwed me. I might switch to the classic for my competition purposes.
Played SF2THDR extensively tonight and tallied a 37-16 record. =/ + Friend games have spectator mode which allows you to watch the match + Scoreboard - Keeps track of you and your friends wins/losses + There is lag in some games, but for the most part it's fairly smooth for a fighting game + There's always someone to play with online unlike Tekken 5 or Mortal Kombat 2 + Graphics are good + Minimal load times + Game can be shared, only for ps3 owners I think - CPU evil Akuma will eat you alive, most difficult akuma fight in the history of akuma battles - When a game is full, it kicks you back to the multiplayer screen. It would've been better if it kicked you to the server screen - Joystick is a must - Evil Ryu/Akuma is MIA - Tournament room is lacking spectator mode - After a Scoreboard match or Tournament match, I would like the option of playing against the same person/group again. The game automatically kicks you back into the Multiplayer screen after a match I really hate the new Remix mode. They made throws way too easy and people online abuse it. I wish there were people who would play the classic style, but the default is remix and that's what everyone plays. I also hate the D-Pad on the regular PS3 controllers. I miss pulling off a move roughly 30% of the time and it's making me lose a lot of matches. I have a Hori Fighting Stick 3 which is a slight improvement, but that joystick is trash. Need to find me a Hori RAP 2/3 and then, I'll finally be able to do what I want to do and play happy.
i haven't played any variation of street fighter since street fighter II on SNES but i just decided get this for old times sake. i'm pretty terrible but managed a 6-3 record so far. the arcade mode seems harder than i remember, too. but then again, i'm playing with a controller so it's a bit hard.
Yep. I think i'm addicted. Before I left work I had to get 3 matches in. How is a guy who is 7-5 ranked higher than me at 14-5? His rating is higher so I'm wondering if your rating/ranking is also based off who you beat as well as your record?
What's the make and model of this? How much is it? MS Ticks me off. I have this stick and the 360 is the only console it won't work on.

Definitely going to DL this on the PS3. When I came back to Street Fighter II by purchasing it on the XBox 360, it seemed harder than I remember. I can just jump into Street Fighter Alpha or Third Strike with no problems, but Street Fighter II tore me up initially. We'll see now that I can use the PS controller. Graphical update looks superb though.
you have to buy an adapter. i bought one on ebay for only $2 and it allows the ps2 controller to work only on ps3 games. i don't think the rumble works, but otherwise it allows a ps2 controller to work perfectly. saves a bunch of money.
