FYI, looks like registration is back up. You can register first and look around the board before shelling out any money. In fact, you can actually try it out because they allow 5 people to use the feeds for free at a time. Not much chance that it will be available that often, but it's worth a try if you want to check it out. And the cost is actually 3 euros, which is more like $3.75 American. Good news, the Rockets/Sixers preseason game is scheduled to stream for tomorrow. And if what LegendZ3 is correct, then most of the Rocket games will be available.
If you pay dont expect to rexerve yourself a spot for tomorrows game using the PPV. It doesnt activate your account until your payment is received. You can still post and hope to get one of the 5 free spots for each channel but that is about it. I already have it on ch 1 and plan on leaving it until the game is over to make sure I keep one of the free spots.
For those of you who still want to register, you can find most of those streams for free either direct from searching the internet or via coolstreaming (which offers much better quality, IMO) - i mean it's only 3$ but I don't like the idea of paying for something you can get for free.
You guys need to try out www.orb.com I stream all 68 channels of my cable to my dad in Saudi who watches all the Rockets, and Astros games for free online. Great quality too. I use it for when I travel to places like my Grandparents where they don't have cable tv.
Orb is pretty cool stuff. I have TV tuner but it's not supported. Gonna look into getting a cheap TV tuner card that is supported. . It's already cool that I can stream it through my PDA when it has an internet connection. Now just to get permanent internet using a bluetooth phone and PDA and the tv tuner card and i'll be able to watch rockets anywhere. Especially those saturday nights when I have a pesky wedding to go to.
Yeah, I did the same thing with my clie. I was watching some of the videos that are on my pc, like Family Guy episodes etc. on my PDA. Pretty bad ass program if you ask me, especially if it's free. I was going to get slingbox for my dad until I found out about this program.
Yeah CH 1. They already have NBA TV on now for the game at 6. This is awesome. I didnt think i would be able to see it.
How many computers can you stream to? This could be gold for us rockets fans who cant usually see the games. Im sure there would be willing rockets fans to stream the games for us. They would be watching them anyways.
Can someone who actually has this working explain the process? Seem like there are 4 or 5 different threads going on simultaneously. Is anyone actually watching the Rockets, or is this a waste of time?
I am watching it now. It wasnt hard. All you have to do is register. Download WinAmp. Then go to FAQ and change the settings on winamp that it says to. Then go to streams and go to channel 1. Hopefully there are still free spots open and if there is then just log in again and it will come up.
Presumably you have to register before any of this works, right? Right now they're still not accepting new members.
How often do they open up registration? I am trying to get in touch with them, as our new hand held device has Wi-Fi and this would be PERFECT for a relationship. DD
NO idea how often. I've been a member on their site for a while. I never did much there because I didn't know what they had etc. I didn't know you could watch the Rockets on it. So can you watch it, as a trial for free before paying?
I used to use this site all the time last year because I live in Austin (we only get Spurs games here). The quality isn't amazing, but it's worth it for 3 bucks a month. There are a lot of Rockets fans on the site, so basically every Rocket game will be streamed.
