I have no objection for your Spurs hatred. And I know your first point is not serious. But a lot of people believe your second point, which is as unfair as saying the Rockets' championship doesn't count. They won through the playoffs just like any other champions. It's not their fault that the regular season was cut short. If you want to put an * on that championship, then perhaps you should also put an * on the championships when the 3pt line was shortened, or all the championships when the hand-check rule, or illegal defense rule was abolished, etc. The only illegitimate championship would be if it was not won by the rules, either the team cheated or the officiating was clearly favoring the team.
The Spurs should just lose a game real soon. Going into the playoffs with absolute invincibility then face adversity is never good. Lose the streak, rest the players, and focus on the playoffs.
So by that logic I would say Sacramento should have beat the Lakers to move to the finals that one year, and the Dallas Mavericks should have won a title in 2006 against the Heat.
Lol what are you talking about. Why would the media make excuses for the Spurs? They hate the Spurs. The streak probably comes to an end tonight but don't play dumb and act like its a level playing field. OKC is coming off 4 days rest while the Spurs are playing a b2b and their FIFTH game in SEVEN nights.
Thank heavens that's over with. SA finishes 0-4 vs OKC Will they also finish 0-4 against us? Will we also finish 0-4 vs OKC? Stay tuned
The Spurs kryptonite is def the Thunder. They just don't match up well with them and it comes down to TP always getting torched by Westbrook. Westbrook always seems to dominate him on both ends of the court. It's a known that KD will have an advantage over anyone Spurs throw at him, but if TP doesn't dominate, usually Spurs don't do well in the playoffs. Westbrook just overpowers and wears him down, plus they have the other athletes to give Spurs problems. They'll also be getting back Kendrick Perkins which gives them a big to battle with TD.

Not really. http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/h2h_finder.cgi?request=1&p1=parketo01&p2=westbru01#stats::none
They really need Manu to beat the Thunder IMO. Manu gives them the extra edge creatively to beat the Thunder's length and athleticism.
The spurs play basketball the way it was meant to be played. The other thing I'll say about it is that pop was the best coach for duncan and ducan was the best player for pop. Do you think if any other coach would have had timmy that they wouldn't have tried to turn him into shaq? Basically, pops genius was to convince tim duncan that it was beneficial to his career and to the team as well that he take a defense-first approach to the game of basketball. Duncan could have been a 28 point scorer, if he had wanted to play basketball with an ego, but duncan didn't do that and the rest of the nba sort of scoff at the way the spurs do it because they are mostly guys with egos and they love ego-driven basketball.
