Looks like the premeditation would likely get him a murder charge, but depending on his lawyers I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped to manslaughter. I think it would have to depend on if he kept hitting him after he was knocked out.
Read this one, convicted of murder http://www.journaltimes.com/news/lo...cle_72666950-0217-11df-a19f-001cc4c002e0.html one punch is all it takes. What seems to factor in is if the fall and subsequent hit on the head was aided by being drunk. Odd that this one is also hitting a school teacher. if you want to search for more, search "one punch murder". A lot of them involve drinking, so I think the fall and hit on head becomes argued as due to being drunk.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/7406727.html I really hope the family of the deceased ends up suing the lady whose husband murdered him for putting his life in danger if she ends up testifying on her estranged husband's behalf. It is beyond sick for her to become his little lapdog after this tragedy. Guy is an obvious violent psychopath.
This is exactly why we need pre-crime. This could have been prohibited and there wouldn't be a big sentence since the precogs wouldn't have anticipated a lethal blow from one punch. Married women need to be loved. The shackles of a dull, monotonous, unromantic marriage shouldn't prevent them from satisfying their natural needs once in a while. Some guys just never get the female psyche and it manifests itself in all kinds of frustrated angst.. and set themselves up for things like this.
Guess these teachers didn't learn a thing from this story: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/7503056.html Three people found dead in a cheap motel in Rosenberg...two reportedly married teachers and the female's husband.
What the hell is going on in Fort Bend?? Everything is starting to turn into a Dashiell Hammett crime novel???
