Remind me to never be the guy that escorts the scared woman to her car.

You want an escort to your car...call a cop.

As of 1:21PM, the Chronicle is reporting him as in critical condition.

If people think posters here are bad.... They haven't seen the crap that people post on the Chron.... The Chron shouldn't let anyone post anymore. Just the crap that people post on there is just insane....

He died. The school has put out a notice to all the students/staff/parents.

What's happening is he is being prepared as an organ donor, so ICU is keeping him "alive" until they find recipients of his organs. Thus the hospital is still reporting him as in ICU, and the district attorney is not allowed to increase charges, yet, until he is officially pronounced dead.

Are we so jaded a society.
After every death there is usually some A-hole making jokes
    Thinking they funny
Or others coming out of the woodwork . .to piss on the person

Hopefully something good can come from this by him saving a life or two with his passing.

*Checks to make sure organ donor card is in his wallet*

Give it awhile and Fatty will return to the BBS, make a thread laughing at this dead dude, ask "too soon?" and then proceed to lecture people for not thinking it's funny.

So the wife shows up for support?

"He is a deranged psychopath when any man gets near me....he must really looooooooooooooove me!"

I try to be a feminist, but women weird me out sometimes.

Pretty crazy story gets crazier. On Friday the woman feared for her life. On Monday she has reconciled after her husband killed a man instead of her.

If I were the coach's family, I'd be stunned. Look for the woman to testify on his behalf.

And you'll proceed to feign horror and disgust at it. For the love of God, I truly hope you never watch Tosh.O. Your brain would probably explode as a result of all of the insensitivities.

A veteran that has been on this board since the beginning wrote to me afterwards "So, are Helen Keller jokes off limits, as well? What I don't get is the self righteous a**holes that click on a thread that they have no business in. Your title was very self explanatory."

Now I can fully admit I was off base a few years ago, and I've learned from it. But y'all can be incredibly sensitive at times, also.

FFB please do not derail this thread.

i agree, it's annoying he brought you up again regarding that thread. but, let's drop it everyone, at least in this thread.

this story is not over. I want to see him get charged with 2nd degree murder.

I shouldn't have brought it up. Sorry.

Let's get back on track and start calling the woman a b**** without knowing details beyond what's in the Chron. Keep it on track.

I'm fine with that, but he has a tendency to bring me up just about every other day.

As to 2nd degree murder, I just don't see how that is possible. The whole thing sucks, to be sure, but I can't see more than a manslaughter charge. Regardless of a sucker-punch or not, I don't think anyone punches someone thinking it will kill them.

Definitely, based on what we know, which is probably incredibly incomplete. If what is in print is accurate, and she asked for protection on her way to the car, and now she voluntarily shows up in court with the killer, that sounds completely crazy.

I suspect our data is low-fi, especially given Houston news sources. (No offense to my hometown.)

Yeah. If it was a one punch kill shot I don't think it could be 2nd degree murder. But if he kept bashing his head into the ground after the knockout that would be different.

Damn. Killed on one hit. I need to see a picture of this guy.
