Uh, he did it for stretches when we've played Dallas before. 6-8 with freakish athleticism and long arms can guard a 7 footer who falls in love with perimeter play as well as anyone else. I think the key will be sending a bunch of different looks to Dirk. Use TMac to guard him some, use Yao some, use Howard some, send double teams quick, then slow, then not at all, and just keep confusing him. Avery may be a great motivator at this point, but I'll take JVG's X's and O's against him come playoff time.
the Suns put Smarion on Dirk most of the game and Dirk was struggling to get his shot off. Tmac like SMarion has long arms and is quick, since Dirk doesnt play in the post a long SF would be a better assignment on Dirk. J
Relax, I'm just saying that Seattle is a tougher match-up. And I am not sure the Rockets are the 2nd best team. For me, it goes... Pistons Spurs Heat Suns - Sonics - Rockets Mavs Everyone else.... Still, number 5 ain't bad.
Well, the ankle thing isn't worth it, but AJ is incompetant and Dampier is a scrub, so 2 of 3 isn't too bad... We should win...
I think the key is to score more then they do. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ryan "Pure Energy" Bowen guarding Dirk in certain situations...
Sign Karl Malone to a 10 day contract. Get him to sucker punch Dirk in the gut. Then rack him for good measure. If that doesn't work let him grab a rebound so he'll swing some elbows.
