francis4prez already got the reciepts that we are pretty much the only nba team reffed differently from the regular season to the playoffs, every other playoff teams ft rate stays the same or in other cases drastically increases
game 2 of this series there was a lot of complaining both here and oncourt (by mda/players) because one of malloy's "colleagues" marc davis was on that game
I told yall we need a strategy for this . PLay better ? or can we put a body on the floor ? Fall into brothers ? Use a shitty player Bruno , DMC ?
First they stole our Championship in 2017 and now this fcking bs....These BLM and all these rigging crap...i am close to not watching it anymore.
As pissed off as we all are at the rockets, it’s amazing how a no call changes everything. if they call the foul on Dennis as they should, we take a 3-0 lead and this is probably over today and we are all celebrating and happy. Instead of a sweep we have a dog fight and there is a real chance we could lose.
we were up 15 for like 5 seconds when we made 8 straight 3's. you can't take the 8 straight 3's as a good thing and then be like "why are we shooting 3's?" okc scored on like 6 straight possessions right after that and the game was immediately close again.
This game was way more on the Tony Brothers hatchet men than game 3 was. The Rockets getting less FTAs can be explained away by their offensive shot selection. The Thunder got phantom fouls constantly, consistently, and at every key moment. Including that wild flagrant. Of course, we also shot incredibly stupidly/poorly, so the ref apologist crew is gonna feel justified.
even accounting for okc's normal ft prevention, we are now taking about 20% fewer ft's than expected. in a series that just had 2 really close games where the other team got 27 more ft's than us. it would be like if house had missed that ft at the end of game 3 and then they gave him 4 or 5 more chances to make it.
someone said we actually had more drives. that's the thing, people look at 3's like it's the old days and lots of 3's means lots of jumpers. every single shot we take that isn't a 3 is in the paint.
Houston will never be in it because of refs because we'll never be the national media favorites. It's just straight facts. It's happened too many times for it to be a coincidence at this point and no matter how much Morey complains to the league after, they don't care. I'm not saying the league favors OKC to win or anything but clearly the refs want to send a message that fits the narrative every playoffs. They give Harden calls in the regular season and then in the post-season, they swallow their whistles and call a bunch of bs offensive/traveling calls on Harden. It's become a narrative the league has played to. It doesn't help that Harden gets tired and when he does, he makes dumb decisions down the stretch and silly turnovers.
They know if we come into the Lakers series on even footing or with a rested WB then we might be too much to handle . More people will be watching those games , harder to fix. @napalm06 agreed. Just like in game 3 , even tho the refs didnt favor us we still could have played better and won. However, that does not mean that the x amount of points the refs swing the game doesnt matter . It doesnt get to be a close game in game 3 if the refs dont intervene early and often. This game , the refs didnt have to intervene as much because we didnt play as great of defense. But we also shot better , so they still had to favor OKC some. Basketball is all about the runs. Our are getting capped at the knees by the refs. Moreover they are getting in our heads.
