I saw Yao Ming's dad at Randalls looking at lawn furniture. On TV he dosent look tall, he is. He also did the patent arm holding behind the back. It runs in the family.

    from Hippieloser:
On the 59 feeder (heading south) between Kirby and Buffalo Spdwy. No, I don't buy toys, but I made a tidy little sum in the early '80's with comic books. At my peak I had a $120 a month subscription there.

I don't know why, but the George Ming gag never ceases to amuse me. Probably because it repeatedly gets guys with a tiny number of posts to delurk for once.

Uhhh, so thats why Yao is on the back of his jersey.

I heard Bill and Calvin talking about it a while back. Yao is his last name, and Ming is his first name. A lot of people were wondering why Ming was not on the back of his jersey and they explained it.

Yao is his family name and Ming is his given name.

surname first and the given name second or last name first and first name last :)

I saw him buying some groceries in the HEB on Fry Road once....:)
And if you think he looks big on TV you should see him in person. He could probably just stand there and look right over the grocery isles......
