I remember back a few years... maybe more... there was a classic song with the "Pacman" beat on it...

I believe it was with Slim Thug, ESG & T2 - Of course later Lil' Flip tried to answer with "Game Over" -but I remember the original was all over the stinkin' radio back then...

    Where is it now?

Anyone have this? I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

Anyone know why it was basically eliminated from existence?

Hah... I would send you the mp3 if I had it. That would require some digging and research --> then ripping it onto the computer... something I don't feel like doing at 3 in the morning.

Along the same lines (guess I'm thread jackin) but I was wondering if anyone could drum up a list of old school 90's-early 2000s Houston based hip hop songs?

I moved out in 01 to Chicago, and I've always wanted to somehow be able to still hear some of those Houston only hits....some of the stuff I do have is like old south park mexican, swishahouse, fat pat, lil keke, dj dmc, etc but I wanted to see if anyone had a list so I can make sure not to forget anything. Thanks!

Here's some classics off the top of my head:

Lil Troy - "Wannabe a Balla" *THE BEST*
    Fat Pat - "Tops Drop"
Fat Pat - "Man Hold Up"
DJ DMD ft Keke and Fat Pat - "25 Lighters"
    Lil Keke - "Southside"
Lil Keke - "Platinum in the Ghetto"
    Wreckshop Family - "Power Up"
Lil Flip - "This is the way we Ball"
Yungstar - "Knocking Pictures off the Wall"
    BIg Moe - "Purple Stuff"

Everybody loves old UGK and Scarface/Geto Boyz stuff too... that's a little before my time.

    More recent:
(Album) Paul Wall & Chamillionaire - "Get Ya Mind Correct"
    Z-Ro - "Mo City Don"
    Z-Ro - "One Night"
    Trae - "Swang"
    Bun-B - "Get Throwed"
Bun-B and everybody else in Houston - "Draped Up (Remix)"
Lil Keke - "Chunk up the Deuce"
Pimp C - "Knocking Doorz Down"

I'm not sure how much exposure these songs got to outside of Texas....

Street Military - "I Don't Give A Damn". Classic Houston Rap.

One of the original artists to be screwed by Screw himself... back when screw tapes were screw tapes, not rappers sounding all stupid and slow over screwed-up beats.
