The difference reflects my opinion only. I would hate to see Amare's career impacted by knee issues. It would be a sports tragedy. But if he gets tendonitis, bruised ribs, flu, etc and misses a couple of games against us, good deal! I also don't care how fans of other teams feel about the Rockets.

There won't be a playoffs if he misses significant amount of time.

not exactly, the trainer had been working on the knee all summer according to two different newspapers. Also you gotta say if this had happened to Yao, the rox would still offer him the contract they had earlier

Cant be so sure about that. All this about him having problems with the knee for months have surfaced within last 2 days. If the problem had persisted all summer...

    1) You dont think there would be some sort of rumor or maybe something would have leaked out?

    2) Would it not make sense for Amare and the Suns management to take care of it during summer?

Sounds more like damage control to me. By saying that this had been going all summer, Suns management save face, while at the same time get attention off of Stoudamire for revealing this after he got his extension. Deep down inside Colangelo and Suns owner (dont really care for the owner..he is an arrogrant prick) must be pissed off though. Colangelo has been shying away from camera.

Suns fans read this thread and are whining on their board that we're celebrating that Amare got injured even though one or two people have said they didn't care that he was injured. Whatever, I couldn't care less about the Suns and their championship-less franchise. Read the entire thread next time idiot before running over to the Suns board like a gutless coward and ripping Rockets fans.

Iread that two, but I can see how someone would feel that, knowing the hatred that exists for one Amare Stoudemire by a small, but extremely, vocal fraction of this board.

ANyways getting back to the issue, Someone mentioned it would make sense to take care of it over the summer, but I mean how many of us would run to a surgeon everytime we have an ache. What I read into the articles was as follows:
Amare had pain off and on over the summer. All basketball players get routine pains and what not but When it got worse during training camp he was evaluated by a doctor and then he needed surgery. I don't think he bamboozled anyone.

Anyways lets see how they do without him as no he will prob onnly miss preseason and perhaps the first couple reg season games.
