He's not worth a max contract, but some team will give it to him. Hopefully, it won't be us. Phoenix needs to trade Nash and start over, anyway. Every year they wait, is one more year longer it will take.

nash to houston would be sick. yeah, he's another non-defensive guard. but dam. AB, Nash, and Martin could easily put up 80 points a game and he would make Hill and Jefferies look like superstars.

no to amare. we need a deke type big not a primadonna.

I don't think Amare on this team would be as bad as you guys think. It's all about lineups and team defense. If Amare has Yao behind him and Battier on the wing, chances are the rockets will be fine. Take out brooks and put in Lowry and take out Yao and put in Hayes to protect the lane and again, you would be able to have a line up to run and gun and play good half court defense.

I don't think we'd get him but Amare and the rest of the Rockets are versitle enough that he would certainly be an upgrade to Chuck Hayes/Jared Jefferies/David Anderson playing heavy rotation minutes.

    1. Morey has said he wants Amare, which he COULD have been lying, but it is more likely that Amare is number 2 on his list behind Bosh. So if Morey wants him and everyone on this board thinks Morey is a jedi then why does Amare get so much hate?

    2. 90% of the people on here seem to think Amare was a terrible defender and that he could suck offensively without nash/suns up tempo offense. ok so his defense had nothing to do with the team he was on and his offense had everything to do with the team he was on... well that makes perfect sense.

    3. Even IF Amare's D really isn't that great, our team as it appears to be right now is still being built based on the fact that Yao will be an effective big man for us. IF that is the case then I feel like Yao's sheer size inside can make up for Amare's alleged suckiness. I mean Scola is energetic and a great actor but I wouldn't call him a defensive stalwart, he just isnt athletic enough to do so.
