Jabari smith did fine in the summer league. He was lacking the shots but overall he did fine. His defense was good he was contesting. And I even felt like people where scared to shoot on him sometimes.
Jabari was mediocre at best in the SL, he came in advertised as a dead eye shooter, and all he did was kill rims every game. It looks like his range right now extends to the college 3pt line but not the NBA one.....that will come, I am sure he is busy working on it now, and I don't believe anyone is worried about it overall he will be fine. But, it does look like the NBA draft got it right. DD
Meh, if you watched him on defense it's pretty clear he's the best on the roster - today - and > 50% probably make at least 1 all defensive team and probably more. This isn't the kind of "let's find some stats to show that guy who wasn't good on d was good" thing that people were doing last week/this week with some of last year's picks - this was just, he was obv. the best defender on the floor in every game he played, better than Chet who will be very good. Go back and look at the film, he just created havoc at all times. You can call that mediocre - his shooting # and shot selection certainly were. But overall, far from it.
Yeah, he was....in comparison to other top picks, if you go number 3, you should be MUCH better than most of the scrubs in the SL, he was better defensively, but offensively he struggled......and that made him MEH....overall. Doesn't mean I think he is MEH, he just had a average SL - and it showed things he needed to work on - which I am 100% sure he will..... Right now he is Robert Horry, but for a number 3 pick, we want him to be much better..... And I agree @SamFisher he was nails on D.....on that side, I give him a solid A-, on offense a C.....for an overall B- grade.....pretty average overall, IMHO. DD
This. That defense he displayed had DPOY potential written all over him. He might have been mediocre on offense but elite on defense.
