I'm tired of watching these lazy overpaid players just get the ball, stand there and not even attempt to go inside to attack or create looking for the high percentage shot. They just get the ball and out comes that ugly looking no form whatsoever 3 point shot.

Anyone attempting more of these 15-seconds-still-on-the-clock 3 pointers should be sat down for the rest of the game, unless they are utterly and completely open or their name is Brent Barry.

But even thos completely open 3's won't go in because WE JUST DON'T HAVE GOOD 3 POINT SHOOTERS.

This team should not play around the 3 point shot, it should play away from the 3 point shot, or else just bring back Novak and make him the staring small forward.

    PHENOMENAL THREAD

Of course I agree. With Yao Ming we play inside and out, we go to him inside and when he is doubled it creates good looks. But without him we still do the same, we just fall in love with long jumpers which is gonna kill us.

The difference between Detroit and NY game? EASY. In Detroit we were hitting jumpers, in NY not so much, that is why we lost. You can't relay on jumpers, because more often you will DIE by 3s.

With Yao Ming out, I think we had to go harder. We had to find a way to score inside, to go inside. But NO, we were just shooting the ball, keep shooting.

Ron Artest - in Detroit 9 3pt attempts, in NY 10 3pt attempts.

    YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME.

We live by the jumpers and we die by the jumpers.

Agreed tmac and im sad to say artest r just ball stoppers, I will defend artest and say that when tmac was hurt and artest was playing he did do a good job of moving the ball but now that tmac is back I think its a sad competition to see who can lead the team, and unfortunately neither of them is winning and we r the ones who r losing because of it

    P.S.
If RA sticks with his horrible a$$ starters when his bench is doing so well one more time I think im going to convert to a Mavs fan and I hate the Mavs so dont make me do it RA

Usually you will die by jumpers, especially in the playoffs

    11 years and counting.....

    Jumpers...jumpers....jumpers....

Remember how frustrated JVG used to get, he was constantly trying to get Tmac to drive.

    It ain't happening folks.

thankkkk youuuuuu, i don't know many times i yelled at them for shooting 3's last night, when you're hitting them, go right ahead, but you have to realize when you're cold and it's time to work the ball inside and go for layups

Exactly. They are going in, great. But you just can't go out on the court and say : well, we hope our 3s can go in tonight, because if not than we are in toruble'

3pointers should be an additional thing. first you gotta figure out how to get the easiest shots, not the longest.

I've never like a offense based on 3 pt shooting even during the dream years, but we had dream, kenny was a great 3 pt shooter, elie, bullard, and horry was ok also. The problems are always short sighted and clear, but people dont want to see the truth. For years people have been blinded by shooting 3's when you have yao and for years i've been saying this team needs slashers to turn those kickouts into layups. now all of sudden people want slashers and basket attackers. finally catching up right?

Are you talking about McGrady?? Doesn't this guy have enough people hating on him? How many bash T-Mac threads do we have on here?

You live by the three you die by the three. Dallas learned that years ago. The first part seems like your talking about McGrady. The second part it seems like its about Alston. The problem with Novak is that he is another Wafer but without the athletic ability. CAN'T PLAY D to save his life.

There is a saying that you can't teach a dog new tricks. I wonder why people think after 11 season McGrady is gonna change the way he has been playing all is career. Same goes for Yao, Artest, and even Rafer. McGrady and Artest have been ball stoppers their whole career. The front office can't put all the blame on them. They brought in a coach and a system that doesn't fit them. Some blame has to go on them also. The players we have now are JVG players not Rick Aldeman players.

Corey Maggette once said that the most effective way to guard TMAC was to play him physically and he'll fold because TMAC hates contact.

All that 15 seconds or more left on the clock 3 point shooting from the 7 seconds or less Suns really bogged down the offense. No?

The three would have worked better with some inside presence,
If Yao were in there, If Deke were in there,
if a more aggressive Von Wafer instead of T-Mace were in there.
All of these would have given us more inside shots/points, thus freeing up even more wide open shots from outside.

Bullard broke it down, all we had to do was be aggressive and drive inside the Knicks porous defense. We chose to chuck up outside shots.

Frankly, Im tired of the team playing to the level of their competition.
It is another prime example of no heart, and no leadership when the other team dictates how you play. Championship contenders like the Lakers or Celtics would flat out beat teams like the Knicks, yet we always seem to let games to inferior teams accidentally slip away.

the last minute and a half was filled with so many bone-headed three point shots while Scola was down low waving his hands around like a chicken with his head cut off.. why did the Rockets panic with so much time left on the shot clock?!

not to mention we had like three or four opportunities to capitalize on offensive rebounds.

it's only a three point game with 90 seconds left!

why are you guys jacking up threes?

I don't see how people can still have faith in T-Mac. He's been on the decline for 2 years now. Time to get rid of him, or let the team suffer for the next year and a half from a overpaid "has been" who still thinks he's got "it"
