ima put it like this..u STOP ROY..u STOP the blazers..hes everyting to them!
Im tellin u guys. THe blazers maybe a "dark horse" but.. one team they didnt wanna play where the ROCKETS. IF it wasnt for the questionable .6 jumper at the buzzer 30 feet away, the ROCKETS would have swept the SEASON series. YES.everybody is gonna say..PLAYOFFs are diff..but remeber...they have no experience WHAT SO EVER. ROckets on the other hand have been there and done that. SO dont worry bout it....

DREAMED it last nite! ROCkets in 6! :D

I have a feeling Roy will be off during the playoffs, and will put his team too far behind to catch up on games.

i was watching a video from the newspaper in portland, the insider was saying Roy noticed he kept playing hesitnatly agqainst houston, worried about the defender trailing him (shane) and worried about yao coming up, so he'd be looking around too much, apparently roy said he'd just going to relax, not worry about it as much and just make his move.

the season series doesnt mean as much as fans think. All the game were very close and the one in portland was only close because tmac scored 30.

We've been there (first round), but what exactly have we done?

It's not as easy as you make it seem..

I think a major factor is getting Chuck Hayes big minutes. In every game this season Aldridge has lit up Scola or Landry, but the moment The Chuckwagon is put on him he gets stopped up completely....well unless the refs let him travel all over the place and bail him out with a foul call.

Put Ron on Roy, Hayes on Aldridge, Yao in the middle to stop penetration, and the only players left open on Portland's side will be the referees.

What a shame the NBA has so little legitimacy. "Home court advantage" has reached joke proportions. I blame Utah for starting the nuclear arms race.

Big factor is going to be the rockets using pick and roll to score from. Lowry, Brooks and Wafer are going to have to create plays off of PNRs and Artest looks like a tough matchup on the block posting up. Let Roy get his and don't let him get everybody else involved from the 3pt line and I think the rockets will be OK. If I'm Adelman I would be practicing PNR plays to nauseum right now.

Artest and Battier are premier defensive players and should play Roy 1-on-1 form the beginning. If he starts to get in a groove, switch Artest/Battier on him and give him different looks. Double teaming is the last resort or when the clock runs down. We don't want to give their shooters too many open shots so they get in a rhythm and burn us especially on the road.

Hayes will get a lot of time vs Aldridge and will need to limit him to a jump shooter. Yao HAS to dominate on the offensive end for us to pull out victories, especially on the road.

roy who? if shane and ron could make lebron look like a scrub, they should be able to repeat that to roy 4 times. just take turns and wear him down.

and for aldridge, we have scola, hayes and landry to put on him. one of them is gonna defend him well in a given game, especially hayes. if he fronts yao then he's less of a threat on offense.

their role players worry me a bit, though.

Some how make Ron and Roy get into a fight. So they are each suspended for the series. Then I like our chances even more.

I think the bigger issue is LaMarcus Aldridge both literally and figuratively. He always seems to destroy Scola and Landry (although less with Landry because of GIMMEDAT!'s athleticism)

We have to contain him or he's going to be launching his high release fadeaways all day long. Scola needs to be watching tape extensively last week.

PS. I know you're all going to say that Chuck shuts him down. Yes he does, but he doesn't give anything on the offensive end. He's great for short stretches, but he's not the answer, at least, I don't think so. If he can prove me wrong, we win this series quite easily.

There has to be at least one PO choker in this POR team. I vote Roy.

I agree here - but I would blame San Antonio. Remember - the "poster boys of how to win a ring?"

Bruce Bowen kicks + showtime flops + 1 legit Stud (Duncan) = game, set, match.
