I don't understand the whole playoff arguement for mchale. Vinny del negro made the playoffs with the bulls and was still called a terrible coach. The clippers this year are a top western conference seed and playing amazingly well, but u still have fans calling out del negro as a bad coach. Sometimes its the players who make the team good despite whoever the coach is. And i can easily say harden has probably won us more games than mchale has with his coaching this year.
The haters seem to forget that we played much of last year without 2 starters. And since they were both guards the back court was completely gassed for the last 2 weeks of last season.
Well, it fits the quality of the board. We are not unaccustomed to childish, corny and lame nicknames. It weakens an argument every time I read somebody's opinion and they start the high school name calling like it adds something

First of all, I don't want to turn this thread into a McHale coaching debate. There're plenty of threads for that. Secondly, I'm here long enough to know the nickname was originated before 2012. Nowhere did I imply that LOFs created this nick. They aren't that creative. But only since this season has that term been used so frequently. Whenever LOFs refer to the coach, it's McFail, or McF%&#Boy, or something similar. And don't pretend you don't know why: LOFs believe McHale misused Lin, hindered his development, and made their hero look average so far. But when it comes to Lin, anybody breathes funny toward him is called a racist or hater. I remember somebody got banned for calling him "Jeremy Rin". I don't know what's wrong with that name and I DON'T CARE. The point is this kind of double standard is sickening to me. And judging from several responses from the 1st page, I'm not the only one who feels that way. Of course I didn't. I'm not that naive. There are some dumbf__ks out there as evidenced in this thread. But if some people realize the name calling is wrong (one poster even admitted in this thread. kudos to him!), or some people may hesitate a little bit next time when they try to use that nickname, then this thread has served its purpose.
People have to stop taking the internet so seriously. Oh and while you're at it, basketball too, it's just a game. Just ignore the posts/threads you don't care for (I agree they are annoying sometimes). I mean, you don't see me making threads about this annoying thread that is complaining about other annoying phrases/posts.

VDN's team won 41 games in the Eastern Conference. His team would not have been good enough to make the playoffs in the West this year. Plus, his team was a couple years removed from winning 49 games, and he had vets on the team from that year. There wasn't a total team turnover.
I don't see you making posts, actually. Some people like to hang out here, so they might have an opinion on the atmosphere or tone of the board. You might say that some people with thousands of posts have invested their time in the board.
