Yao didn't establish his post position that well last night. By Nesto fronted him he should of went straight to the basket; no one was there guarding it (Cato does this when a man tries to front him thats how he gets some of his alley oops). That showed a lack of his B-ball IQ not to adjust to Nesto when being fronted by him. Yao is learning more and more and I'm happy with his game. Some of you need to stop fooling your selves, by stating that Yao can't do no wrong, and blaming everything on the system, coaches, or guards. Last time I checked hes' human and he is allowed to make mistakes.
He should have gone straight to the basket and done what? If someone can't hit a standing target what makes yout think they can hit a moving one? You have to have great timing and chemistry for that to happen. The only pass the guards ever make to Cato is the alley-oop. As far as getting position, Yao was not getting great position all the time but that shouldn't be the only option to get him touches. Picks, face up jumpers, etc. are all ways to get him the ball more.
you are absolutely right. Good pass is for a moving target not a static one.But most Rox player cant understand it.
finally, someone else sees what i saw. that post hit it right on the nail. it wasn't just the guards fault or yaos fault, it was a team effort put it and it just didn't work out that game. i just don't understand all the post saying stuff like 'this is the dumbest thread ever made'. comments like that are already dumb enough. atleast post your own opinion againts or with the topic. a lot of posters these days just want to jump on someones back when they make a comment that they don't agree with. theres no need for calling names or trying to diss the person, all you have to do is voice your opinion and move on. isn't everyone entitled to their own opinion? is it just me or does a lot people on this board seem to be so childish? i do think so.
You would have helped yourself out if you titled the thread something like "Why we had problems getting Yao the ball". But instead, you created a title that would provoke people. Just my 2 cents.
yes that is very true but the title for the thread was just my opinion on whats been goin on here. everyone is always talking bout yao not getting the ball and for him being a rookie and still new to the USA basketball game, hes getting enough touches. it just depends on in yao can cash in or not.
