    I agree that the policy is constitutionally dubious.

    But people in New York have been pampered with 20 years of Rudy/Bloomberg rule. Many of them don't remember the time before when crime was rampant in the city.

    They will soon find out how quickly things can change. NYC can become Chicago in short order.

    But it's New York, there's no way they would violate anyone's rights or be racist, they're enviably liberal.
