i just wanna explore this with you... so you think it is beyond possibility that an infinite God could use the hand of man to write His own word?? would you be more convinced with a story like the book of mormon, where a man found tablets lying on a hill and then was given some power to translate them???

Sorry to jump in, I think that God could use the hand of man to write his word. When we read the word, we must then determine: Is it God's words? Or is it not. Or is it God's words, with a lot of human words interspersed? What do you think?

Ok, but in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Religious clerics do run quite a bit of the country. The "government" is a monarchy, although religion does rule that country. I have lived there since '89. the Matawah's (sp) are the religious police who take orders from clerics.
Yes, you're right, we're in the midst of anarchy and revolution. There are many other debatable reasons to be unhappy or disappointed with Bush, but you are really grasping at straws here.
Mutawa's are a special task force who take orders from the Government. They are there to keep check if anyone is breaking any islamic laws. because the regular police is mostly 10th grade dropouts they needed someone who can interpret the quran and also instill that part of the law... ex: the regular police wont tell anyone to put the volume down on the radio near Mosques during prayer time or whatever, thats the job of te Mutawa's and also if women are outside without proper covering(its their job to tell an accompanying male to tell the women to cover up) or if a store is open during prayer times (they will close the store down). religion doesnt rule the country its just what the country is based on. almost every religion is based on some sort of religion USA itself was established as a christian country and anything against Christianity was taken seriously. albeit times have changed the way it works now. maybe Middle East countries need the same amount of time.
was taken over? when? AFAIR, Iran has been ruled by the Ayatollahs for most of the 20th century...just because they had a figurehead that was supposedly ruling doesnt mean they were. The Ayatollahs have had the real power.
