Idk how people are still arguing this trade. Like you want to keep wood but you dont want levert? Who is basically the same age and a decent player too? Where is the logic in this? Its not like we are signing anyone instead, we signed daniel theis the first minute of free agency

Deandre ayton, former number 1 pick, is 23 years old and average 14 and 10 in 30 minutes. Allen is... 23 years old and averaged 13 and 10 in 30. You really want to pat your back on that trade?

How would we get Green if we got Allen you ever thought of that? Moreover, the only reason KPJ was available is because Allen and Taurean Prince came to the Cavs and the Cavs brought KPJ's locker to the back. KPJ had issue with that and threw food at Cavs mgt leading to him getting traded.

If the Rox really want Allen they can get him via free agency. He is an expiring contract just like Olynk and Dipo.

    Olynyk $37m for 3 years (avg 12.3m / yr)
    Theis $36m for 4 years (avg 9m / yr)

Kelly better, Pistons price for Kelly wasn't that expensive to be honest. Kelly was looking for longer than a 2 year deal, length mattered to him. But then we handed out a four year contract to Theis.

Theis slightly cheaper than Olynyk and a significant pay bump from his last contract ($4m / yr). We might have overpaid here on Theis, unless... front office is thinking future moves.

In the end, Kelly didn't didn't go to a contender, he went to the Pistons. Maybe we could have tried harder. Sure he and Wood overlapped in skill set, but the two guys had synergy. Enough where, teams stopped double teaming Wood, because Kelly was a threat. At times, Olynyk was the engine scoring and passing. The ball went through him for possessions.

Everyone on the Rockets should play defense. This includes Wood, KPJ...etc. Unless you're Curry or Lillard level offense, no one earned the right to not play defense, or where we need defensive guys to offset them.

Brown shot better later on in the season, but he gone after the strip club incident.

Yea how would we know we wouldnt get Green? Or even Cade if Allen came in and won 4 more games for us? All hypotheticals

We were able to trade for KPJ because he decided to start a food fight over his locker being taken. In other words, sheer luck. I highly doubt, even if stone was an 800 iq ai genius, that that was his master plan

Simple question would you rather have KPJ and Green or freakinf Jarrett Allen?

People who think the Rox got shafted in the trade are wrong, plain and simple.

Yeah. Had we kept Allen and Levert, we probably don’t have KPJ. And more importantly we’d be picking at 18th because our pick would’ve gone to OKC.

Who cares if hypotheticals or not? A guy like Allen might've changed the events that lead to 2nd pick. The main thing is Allen is a free agent himself what does keeping him for a season give you that we didnt have can you answer that???

Who cares whether its luck or skill? Bottom line trading Allen landed us KPJ, thats just indisputable. No food fight, no trade.

At the end of the day a bad trade is a bad trade. Even if we got lucky in the end

How do you know we would have Cade and Allen?

We have KPJ and Green now thats the reality. You are comparing your hypothetical dream scenario vs what actually happened you realize that right?

How is it a bad trade? Cuz we didnt keep half a season of Jarett Allen, the dude Cavs are trying to unload now?

Sorry I dont give a F about Jarett Allen, esp since he is a free agent now.

I don't even understand the questions here. The FO is asking themselves who is going to be more helpful 3 years from now, when we might be good. Clearly the answer is not KO, who at that point will be redundant of other minus-to-average frontcourt defenders, and (in the FO's plans) inferior on the offensive end to those players. They don't give a **** about who is better next year. I don't think this was too hard for them. Maybe Theis was an overpay, but not because you could have had KO at the same going rate. It's not even a guaranteed deal!

    Damn you are special lmao

Either that or you think allen is so good we would jump from worst team in the league to a 18th. So which is it?

You dont need to be good you just need to lose the 50-50 on the pick.

Thats what you cant seem to get the Rox needed all the chances they can get to secure that 50-50. If Allen causes the Rox to win 1 more game that might have changed the outcome of the 50-50 already.
