A statue of Rudy T. standing up and doing his notorious, throwing his arms out and looking up to the sky would be nice.
have a statue of the 34 uniform without the body in it... interpret the rest... that would be pretty cool... or a stature of Stevie dribbling the ball off of his foot with a pained expression on his face. that would be kinda' cool too...
Any statue you do, add running water to it and it will be 10 times more interesting even if it is a reflecting pool, or water running over the statue. People are drawn to water. Something else to consider, that may sound really stupid, but asking the Chinese goverment to fund/donate the monument would improve the quality dramatically.
I know!! It could be like the last supper with former and future Rockets greats at the dinner table... All looking a little hungry and upset because Spoon ate all the food...
Statue of Vernon waving a gun outside of a Luby's -or- of Kenny Thomas getting his face bitten off by a dog
I'm sure they are already building a statue of Yao. it probably will be the tallest building in the world and have cafe's on the 167th floor (Yao's neck).
Hakeem is about as devout a religious person there could be, and the organization respects his wishes on this...don't you ? case closed. Now if someone who greatly admired the Dream where to make one anyway...well I assume a heck of alot of us would love to go see it and admire the man's image. Unfortuantely, for Hakeem, that would be a "graven" image, i.e., idoltry against Allah. So be it. I respect the man's wishes. But I'm sure not taking down all those pictures ! now here's an image for the futre, Yao on the right, T Mac flying through the air naturally, in the middle and Hakeem on the left...whew...
"They are having problems with that Stockton statue. It keeps falling down." - MR. MEOWGI This is the funniest thing I've seen in a week, I fell on the floor laughing! Keep up the good work MR. MEOWGI.
Maybe we should make a statue of him.. but leave off the face.. and just put the number "34" on it.. That reminds me of Dream a lot.. he was never a credit or spotlight hog...
