Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) shares are taking off Tuesday despite catching a couple of price target cuts from analysts. Gold (and crude) will def go up with stagflation (probably the only verifiable reason for it to go up these days). With a bona fide recession, people are more likely to flock to bonds instead. The thought is that Powell can either trigger a recession to kill wages and consumer "exuberance" (and possibly a crash by overreaching), or cave and continue the stagflationary trend we had last year. If he caves (or farts thoughts about caving to Timiraos), dollar goes down but commodities and other currencies go up. This is all happening while the tides of liquidity is receding which is unraveling **** loans, consumer confidence and corporate earnings. Just looking at seasonality and history, something will happen in March. I don't have enough conviction for a big bet so far because it's not a straight shot down from here to then. More likely the same trend of higher lows and lower lows to lul perma bulls and dip buyers into the surprise party. Don't know much about what's going on with VIX...bigly rigged? PPT?
