Even Elon is selling TSLA. And his brother. His scientologist-faced mom too, probably. Stocks across the board are sinking to their actual real-world value, meanwhile Tesla sells flamethrowers and overpriced cars made out of cheap plastic (produced using oil energy). Good luck @tinman
Good question. Do most people presume innocence before proven guilty or do they believe every headline they read, he fully denies it. Unfortunately it's the latter. The newspaper man has already been saying space man bad for months, convenient confirmation.
court of law vs court of public opinion. the latter is guilty until proven innocent. it's not unimaginable to think richest (and probably growing to be very unlikeable) person in the world did something like that
Was not richest. This is supposed to be a 6 year old story that these people held on to just to conveniently unleash the moment he stirs the political hornets nest. At least make it less obvious, we're not idiots. Most of us...
Also since when did "richest" automatically had a negative connotation like someone should apologize for it lol. America used be land of opportunity (opportunity for what ask yourself?), now success is demonized. No wonder someone wanted to stand up against this disease infecting society. And the price is being dragged through the mud.
Other retailers could be quick flips on the way down, looking at Ulta with earnings on 5/26. So Puts unless some crazy good news over weekend for the market, haven't entered that yet.. This is probably high risk/reward but wanted to share, and will post if I enter it. Probably more retail store crash type plays so planning to look at other retailers too, haven't looked into more yet, but basically trying to look for retailers that are offering more luxury type items. This is assuming vix is a mess and more bleeding next week. I just think with the supply shortages/cost of gas/energy, nonessential items/stores like an Ulta type will probably bleed more and with what we saw so far with bigger retailers costco/wmt/tgt, there's probably more opportunity there for these type of retailers that only sell non-essentials, just have to find the ones without the premiums that are out of control already for way OTM lottos. Thinking more puts/shorts to go. I do fully expect a mini rally followed by more of this, so have been trying to just do small quick options/momentum plays as I can.
Apple calls this morning but out already atm, but watching to maybe re-enter... Quick +55% or so, nothing exciting. Almost entered Puts for BBY but on hold, still watching Ulta for Puts, I think this is going to be a short lived hold. I'll try to update, but Ulta will be way OTM/very high risk play since I'm buying them for this week expiration.
Unfortunately real work got in the way with meetings this morning, had to exit Spy calls early for minimal gains... I'd watch Spy action today on call side, hopefully continues trending up to $400+, I am not in this one so be careful and watch VIX too. Still haven't entered true plays this week, been strange morning.
Almost bought ZM calls, but didn't want to gamble and have to wait till after earnings/through tonight because of the mix of things I was seeing, this was similar play to CSCO last week but premiums were pretty priced in imo. I've been mainly trying to make quick momentum option plays (hold maybe few days if I'm confident/buy further out if too risky, especially if they could see major movement pm/ah due to earnings). Hopefully someone here got in on some nice trades, I basically had to cut all my + gains too quick but I'll take even small wins in this market.
Yeah, SNAP made a huge mess, already seeing sell offs in some tech, and then fed speaks this week too, Yay!!!
SMH. to think SNAP was as high as $80.....now 13... it's easier to start overlaying dot com bubble rally and crash to covid rally and crash... everyone said it was different. oh hindsight.
