NVDA would be another good option in the semi space.

yesterday, it was reported that NFLX founder Reed Hastings bought $20 million of the stock at this bargain basement price.

citing that NFLX continues to be the undisputed leader in streaming, and has pricing power, a Citi analyst has called it the most attractive oversold tech stock to buy.

over the past 5 trading days, NFLX has gained over 90 points, it still has a longer way to retrace; 38% is ~484, ~50% is 524.

Good call on AMD y'all. They beat earnings and now have a huge after hours jump 10%. I got it at 105. Sweet.

Yeah, it looks like it was a good time to buy (for now). I bought AMD back at around $79 last year and bought another chunk last friday around $106. Bought into some SPY back around March 2020 and have bought more during pullbacks including buying some last Friday. Got into NVDA pre-market in the $220's last Friday, too. I was hoping the limit order I put several months ago to buy in the $190's would trigger, but that would've been hilarious. I figured if it tanked from the $220's, I'd let that order execute, but it's still sitting there, of course. I got into SOFI around $14.xx ... watched it skyrocket over $20 and tank back down to $14, so I bought some more when it got back in the $14's earlier in January. So it decided to go down more, so I bought more around $11.25 last Friday. lol. Not sure what I'm going to do if it tanks again.

I thought about adding to XOM and CVX that I've held since around 2020 since energy is booming, but decided not to pull the trigger. I almost opened an initial position in DVN, but that thing has been flying high so long I chickened out. I never pulled the trigger on NFLX sadly because it was already a big portion of my portfolio, but it's been storming back. AAPL has stayed fairly bullet-proof, and it's my largest position, so I never added to it. Also have chickened out with ABBV as a dividend play because earnings are coming up (tomorrow), but I'm so tempted to buy an initial position since I only want it for the long-term dividends.

A lot of stuff has been coming back. Hopefully this is/was a good buying opportunity, but even if things do pull back, I'm hoping I added somewhere near the bottom.

There are others I'm still looking at, like banks, but I'd need to sell from my "Human ETF" portfolio before adding too many more. I can't keep track of some of this stuff on a daily basis if I own too many. I have friends that are still working and own 40+ stocks in their portfolio and I have no idea how they keep up with what's going on with those stocks while having a job because most of them aren't "set it and forget it" stocks. lol.

Another one I thought about buying was PYPL... glad I didn't. Jesus, it's getting wrecked.

I was worried it was coming in a little too hot into earnings but I guess not.

What a mess. I got burned last time when I watched it go from 229 to 190 after earnings. Out with the new (sq, pypl, afrm) in with the old (axp, ma, v) I guess.

Well, sort of, I guess. I unluckily bought V around the top and it tanked. I bought some more around $200, I guess and around breaking even now. lol. I'm hoping for steady increases in stocks like this. I don't want crazy fluctuations. The past few months, there has been a huge sell-off in the "get rich quick" stocks that don't really have earnings but are plays for 3 years down the road, but I'm seeing even some of those trying to wake from the dead the past few days.

I've only got 5, 100 shares sounds nicer than 5 ha. Are you selling some before the split? I recall stocks tend to fall after split due to partial profit taking?

I plan on purchasing more today but a little worried about a gap fill. However, this is a long term play for me.

while GOOGL had a good ERS, it didn't crush it like AAPL and MSFT.

imho, the timing of the large 20:1 split , in the analyst meeting, is suspicious. intended to divert attention away from comparison against MSFT and AAPL

too, the candlestick chart shows a hangman, after upward trending trading action had protruded thru the upper trading channel,
which occurs during an uptrend and warns that prices may start falling. The hanging man shows that selling interest is starting to increase.

so, when GOOGL was trading @ 2,976, i sold a bearish CALL spread, using Mar 18 expiration
    • bto 3,050 CALL, sto 3,000 CALL, collecting $23.5 premium in advance, which defines my max risk to be $26.5.

    basically, i am willing to risk $26.5 to win $23.5;
should GOOGL trade at 3,000 or below on Mar 18, i get to keep the entire $23.5 premium that i had collected in advance.
